*crickets* where you guys been??? i imagine vaping your heads off with this RDA.... Im still waiting on mine it shipped recently so should be here soon!!! Can I used SS mesh as a wick with these things? Do you think it would pose a problem?

The only problem i see with that is the position of the mesh when installed. The positive post rises up towards center and slopes down towards outer edge to the negative. If you have any part of the mesh touching the base it will short. After installing the mesh use a small jewelers screwdriver and just lift the mesh wick a little so it does not lay on the base.Mesh can work with this RBA though just be carefull.

SS mesh is not a problem if setup properly ;)
regardless of what atty you are using.

if you've never wrapped a coil, SS will give you nightmares.
there is no problem doint a silica setup, then having a go at SS.

Dont let this be your only setup.
have a carto, atty, or tank as your main.
you may not get it right the first time around, so you dont want to be left empty handed.

have a spare PV too....

a buddy of mine melted the button on an eGo Twist, because he attached his Cobra Tank to it, and it was just to hot of a setup for the eGo to handle.... i wasn't there, i'm just going off what I've been told. works on his Provari just fine....

really bad shorts can do some serious damage... stay safe.

I got a tesla here and am going to stick to a strict mantra of always test ohms before you light! Thanks for the info tho

And AFTER you hit that fire button too! Ohms that move around a lot, more than +/- 0.1, indicate something is wrong somewhere. This isn't typically a very common problem with silica setups. SS mesh on the other hand... YMMV

I have many different RBAs and drippers. My Smok RDA gets used more than all the rest combined. Extra 1/16th air hole in top groove of cap, larger o-ring for tighter fit, 3 x 3mm silica (cut shorter than stock wick) wrapped with 28 gauge kanthal for 0.8 ohms on top of a mech. Beautiful, all day vape production right there.

TIP: If you start building for lower ohms, usually with thicker wire and wicks, you will probably find you need to cut your nicotine level down as the ohms go down! I vape 18-24 mg at 2.0+ ohms in clearos, vivis and the like... In my dripper I had to cut the juice in half with more VG so I'm down to 9-12 mg of nic.
