I agree they are good, but so airy. What is the best driptip to use, mine are wide maybe too wide get a good view of centre.

That is something the Magma is not accused of often. Many would say too tight.

I have to ask the obvious, do you find it too loose even with the afc on its smallest setting?

I am using using dual 28 gauge microcoils, 7/8 wrap for .55 ohms. Set just above the airholes, wicked with rayon.

Its a simple build and works great for me.

Wicking with rayon is a large improvement over organic cotton.

The next build will be at a higher resistance for more wraps to increase surface area and perform better on my Hana.

Right now the only advantage of the Hana with this build is utilizing more of the batteries life.

No! the smallest setting is the one I am using, that is tight! just can't find a happy medium! played around with half of hole 2. To be fair though have only had this just over a week and once mastered will be great, I can't see why anyone could say its too tight though. Great device!!

The holes are apparently 1, 2, and 3 mm in diameter so half of hole two would be just like having it set on hole 1. Personally, I find it too tight even on dual hole 3's. Still mighty tasty though!

I totally agree. I think the AFC ring doesn't seal particularly well. Especially on single coil builds, I get WAY too much air. I come from dripping on old-school 510 atties, so I'm into a nice, tight draw.

I'm running a single 1.2 Ohm coil w/ 26 GA on a 5/64 bit and rayon wick..it's sublime. I've actually taken a small piece of o-ring that I cut out of the ring (don't remember what size of o-ring) and plugged the air hole that I don't use at the deck level. This thing vapes like a champ for me now on the smallest hole....very little leaking and a tight draw.

My favorite build so far, or at least the best performing in my opinion, is 5 wraps dual coil using twisted 28 gauge wrapped on the little blue screw driver that came with mine from Infinite. I think the internal diameter is right around 5/64th and it meters out to .4 ohms. I've been using this build for the past 2 weeks or so and the flavor is the best I've experienced so far and the vapor is nice as well. I'm vaping Aurora Borealis from Nebula right now on it and it is quite nice!

EDIT:

Forgot to mention that I'm using some Shiseido cotton pads for wicking and though it doesn't appear to be anything like the much talked about Koh Gen Do cotton, it is better than the standard cotton balls I was using previously. Also, the coils are positioned as close to the air holes as I could get them without risking a short.

Dude, I freaking love the Paragon. Ordered one from VapeRoyalty. How is it?

Very nice. Thats on the lower end of resistances I've seen for the Magma!

Yeah, I noticed not too many people build them below .5. When I first got it I tried dual 28 gauge at around .7 and it wasn't really hot enough for me though the flavor was nice. I've really been itching to rebuild it at around .3 but I can't bring myself to take the current build out as it's working so well. I'm almost thinking of buying a second one!

I agree with your theory But half of 2mm hole produces a crescent shape hole which is larger, more like 1.5mm.

I found the same thing with the middle hole just keep playing around with it. The smallest is way to tight for me and the middle way to loose even 1/2 open. I've found the perfect spot for me and it looks like the middle is around 30%-40% open if I had to put a number on it. I just wish their was a easy way to keep it there after taking the cap off rather than having to find it every time. Tried holding it with my finger but the slightest movement changes the airflow drastically, maybe I'm just picky.

Anyway, as others have said love this atty, it's a flavor beast. I've done single 1 - 1.2ish ohm builds and dual .5 ohm, using 28ga, 5/64" bit and love them both. The .5 dual hits quicker which I like, 2 - 3 second pulls are perfect for me any longer and it's to much. Flavor is about the same on both, maybe a little warmer on the .5 but close. My fav RDA by far.
