So 955 came with a magnetic switch...not installed...im trying to take apart the switch assembly and that ..... is IN so tight even two sets of pliers and towels won't budge it....starting to thing it MIGHT be cross threaded :(...Has anyone else had an exceptionally hard time getting it apart?

Hey Recht
Tell me about it. Same thing happened to me. New GGTS and when i want to
disassemble the button and install magnets no f... way.The only way i could do it
is with two par of pliers and nothing in between of them and button.
I know. Marks on button is inevitably but after 2 weeks of trying gently i had to
show him who is boss:)
After all couple of marks on button is not such big deal

I'm pretty sure that imeo puts the GGTS together with the hands of the greek gods themselves....my 510 top cap doesn't come off either...assuming it comes on based on pictures...ive tried towels...wet rags... hot water soaks..... nothing lol...

The knurled part? The whole top cap (atty connector) is one piece

It's not like its an issue...either way i only use 510s...so it can stay on there all it wants...no biggie to me...but this damned button however... needs to go i can feel the spring catch on itself or something....the knurled control lock rings on the button lock....the thin one doesn't move at all...and then domed button and flat side of the post for the button....can't get them off either....

is the top cap stuck to the collector tank or the body... try to put a rubber strap wrench on body or CT and use a piece of thick leather (and wrench if neeeded) to grip the knurled part (if you don't have any leather scraps around, an old belt works too), I just had that problem with one I picked up from the classys last week, came off real easy with the right leverage ;)

Honestly i have no issues just unscrewing the telescope from the top part of the body for a body change..ill fix it at some point cause all i use is a 510 atty whether i drip or AVS it...brass collector tank cap is like gold for dripping haha..

I do wish...ABSOLUTELY WISH i had a knurled control ring....this smooth aluminum one can be way to slippery when trying to open it up from a 100% seal lol

Vaseline is a must for threads to all mods. But if you didnt do that and something is stuck then you can get antislip gloves from farmacy so you can have a very good grip on metal parts. I use those gloves to tight button on GGs. Of course new button can be un screwed very easy with a plier and a polygonal tool

The top cap, bottom to the collector has been stuck on since i bought it...i tryed some non slip kitchen grip pads on the cap...It's not budging at all...but im sure it will be alright it's not important for it to be taken off really....the button however....using a socket to unscrew it would be quite nice haha...How much for a knurled control ring cap and a new button imeo :D
