Dammit, they sold out yet again. Sheesh. I guess I need to camp out on their page.

Dimension Engineering and Evolv are teamed up. I was told that the DNA20D's are manufactured in the US in Akron Ohio which is where Dimension Engineering is located.
I am assuming that X amount of dna's are produced a day and they are put on sale that day. I found that they usually are available 7pm-8pm EST.

That much is true. I used to know someone that worked at Dimension, that is how I got a kick beta test unit. Still use it today. They are not far from each other.
I will check on those times.

Sorry for the quick reply, I was on my way out.

I have been contemplating using a potentiometer with switch in a tube mod. Figured I could use the on board buttons to get the screen and other options setup before getting it into the tube. Once in you just have one button that turns for watts and pushes down for fire.

I did a quick search but haven't found anything I like.

I was thinking of maybe a ring similar to the EVic, turn one way for up and the other for down with a single fire button. But I believe that the screen flip involves pressing both buttons at the same time, so that feature would be a no-go.

You would have to flip the screen BEFORE the pot was wired in.

wondering if peeps are seeing the same thing here:

when my dna goes into "sleep mode", after "awakening" it always checks the battery and takes about 2-5 seconds to calculate the battery level as it slowly adds a few lines to to battery level bar. i can vape right away, but just takes a few seconds to reconcile battery level. can i also say, once again...THIS THING IS RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING!

my 18490 aw imr lasts me most of the day, i usually end up changing the battery in the evening. im a moderate vaper, about 3-5mls a day.

Yes, I have noticed the samething. I have one on a 1700mah battery and one on a 4400mah and the 4400mah takes considerably longer to update.

My only complaint. The kick was made for a tube mod. I really dislike tube mods, they keep falling over, so I never bought a kick. Love my DNA12 box mod except for the fact it has no screen. The DNA20 would have been ideal for box mods if the ribbon connector for the screen were a little longer giving more options as to how and where to put the screen. Just an inch more would have been great. It is almost impossible to install the board vertical, use the on board switches and have the screen horizontal on the same side. A 180 degree twist and 90 degree bend is too much for that short ribbon.

Yes, all mine are doing that. I don't always get to vape right away though as it says "CHECK BATTERY". The next atty push then I can vape with it.

Agree.

From the modding aspect, it's a bit stressful to work with that short cable with a box type mod.

From the vaping aspect - I can deal with it cuz I get an amazing vape. But maybe v2 will have revisions that will be helpful to those of us who are doing box mod type of enclosures.

Yeah mine too. I think in sleep mode it doesn't store the battery level reading and waking up starts at a default battery pre-set level of low. Then when hitting the fire button it takes an average of the battery for a couple of seconds before display it.

In my MCU mods I use REAL-TIME readings so the exact battery voltage and percentage is displayed instantly. The only draw-back if you would call it that is being in Real-Time, the battery voltage and percentage is constantly changing with-in a few tenths of a volt.

i can awaken mine and vape all in the same fire button push, theres a split second when it may not fire, but it vapes pretty much right away. this is only once it goes into sleep mode tho. the delay is for displaying the amount of battery level. not sure if this is everyones experience as i think mamu said something about needing to wait...

I'm having the same battery readout issue, but I have yet to have it lag in the firing dept. The only problem I have is I can barely handle 7 watts with a 3ohm carto with some of my juices. I wish it would start off at 5 or 6 watts. But then again thats what I have my DNA12 for : )

If you set it at 5 or 6 watts it wont remember that upon waking?
