Gee, I wonder where the OLED V2 Zmax clone was made...

sigelei doesn't make the controllers.

Matter of fact, they don't make anything that they build.

The OLED, 7-segment (V,Z & ?-maxes), the Vamo, the new LT 2.0 (and old 1.0) and a slew of others that have yet to hit the marketplace yet are ALL made by the same company!

And no, I ain't tellin'....

I was out most of the day. I'm waiting for the epoxy to dry on 510 conn. Have the Up/Down in and the Screen location cut out. Just need to put in the fire tact and mount the display. Will continue tomorrow. I'm watching the 12/12/12 Sandy Relief concert right now.

I DVR'ed the concert. So far it's fantastic. Roger Waters and Eddie Veddar were fantastic
and I'm vaping up a storm with my ZMax mod. Thanks buddy

I have spoken personally with a guy that used to work at Dimension when I was beta testing the Kick. They are made there. Take it for it is worth. I believe them. They have been making custom circuits for a long time.

If you lived in Akron OH and told me that you've seen them actually build "whatever"....I might consider it.

But talking with an employee, when you're in NC, means nothing....no offense.

I talk with manufacturers often and many make claims that are just outright BS, until I discover their actual sources and call them out on it. Theeeen the claims disappear and negotiations can begin.

I don't see what it really matters where the pcb is printed. I work for a US company that manufacturers electronics and our pcbs are typically printed in Asia and all the components installed in house. It all comes down to QC, if the quality isn't right we send it back.

Even if the whole board is built in China, Evolv backs up their products period.

Looking forward to getting back on topic and seeing the mods.

I may have found a better enclosure for the 'other' one I sent though.....it's aluminum and appears to be modular.

Brandon was nice enough to send me a 3D model of the DNA-20 a while back. Since the beta boards are out now I hope its okay if I share some quick drawings I made for the physical dimensions. The first three pages are inches and the last three are mm.

I love the DNA20 display. Seeing the wattage, load resistance and output voltage on ONE screen w/o having to find the right button to press to see each reading is a major PLUS in my book. I could never remember what menu number does what with other controllers. I need the menu sheet in front of me each time I need to look at something. I have short term memory LOL

The fact that the DNA can handle a large range of load resistance values impressed me. See post #25

20 Watts is plenty of power. There are not many of us who would attempt to vape above that.
I can exceed 30 watts on my MCU / Nokia mod... So what. Will I ever practically vape at that wattage? Not me.

Another cool feature is that the DNA20 display can be flipped 180 degrees with button selection.
Simultaneously hold down the UP and Fire buttons for 4 seconds. Simultaneously hold down the Down and Fire buttons for 4 seconds will flip it back.

Update: and 5 clicks to turn ON/OFF

I thought about that for a while. What application with vaping would require more than even 12watts? I suppose the DNA20 would be a great piece of electronic for a 2 person hookah type mod.
