I was pretty lucky when I ordered my first PV - a Pig Cig. It was on the expensive side, but I ordred the perfect menthol (24mg - vaping 12mg now) and that worked very well. After a couple of weeks I got some clearomizer CE2's - which have wicks rather than polly-fill. The polly-fill cartos burn my throat and give a very dry vape for me. I got a second kit a couple of weeks ago (Mega eGo) that had 3 5ml eMDCC cartos with it. They look great with the batteries, but have polly-fill in them, and using them gave me the same effect as the first polly-fill cartos I started with. If I had to vape only with polly-fill I would probably not keep vaping. Not saying that is your problem, more that there might be something within your system that does not agree with your vaping experience. I say, keep using analogs while you workout what vaping style/system works best for you. Don't feel like you have to figure this out in one months time. Yes, it will be more expense, but you will probably cut your analog costs right away, as well.

Good luck!

P.S. My vaping experience is as fulfilling as smoking now. If not, even better at times. : )

I would have jumped all over your classified add but I had some bad exp with v-2's cartridges when I used them. I bought 3 defective packs of 5 in a row. Im like you man. I am a stay at home dad and trying to help save money. Making my own juice is the best move I ever made to do that. If u dont want to make your own at least look at other classified adds here where people sell juice. U can find some good deals. If you can not afford some juice I will send you some of mine.

Lots of people are effected differently when they try to quit smoking. You sound exactly like me. Times are hard for me and I cant tell you how many times I broke down and went to buy another pack. Once u cross that line though man there is no going back. Get your system worked out and come back to the ecig. Once u find what works its all over.

I tried 21st century smoke first. Could not dig it. Went back to smoking. Then bought V-2 and long story short I was taken and customer service at v-2 would rather have spit on me then even acknowledge me. So I took it personal. I was basically used for my money and abandoned. So I made a pact to myself that I was not going to be beat by cigs again. Went back to the 21st and made my own juice. I have never looked back and its been 3 months. V-2 is good when it works and maybe your just having the same issues I was having with them. Try another ecig. For less then a carton u can get a starter kit for 21st century smoke. Im sure many other places have kits for around the same price. Someone here gave me a smokestick ecig kit and I like that one as well.

I have not had a problem with V2 at all and every carto has worked well.
I Just should not have taken the MG up to 18 like most suggested and should have stayed with the menthol which I like instead of trying all the flavors. But maybe once I get verified here, I can make a thread in the classified or PIF so I can continue to try. Until then , I will stick to my Marbaro Menthol Lights.
Maybe next month I might see about some sample menthol juice to refill the v2 cartos.

One more thing to try....I'm sure you have heard, to let some of the eJuices you might not have cared for, to steep a week or two. Also, I will refill my menthol cartos with flavors sometimes, and it tastes pretty good. Doing this has really stretched my "all day" vape juice last longer. I am slowly using up all of the early juices I ordered to "test".

Hi ... first, I would never buy that quantity of pre-filled cartos without first having tried the flavors. Your experience with nic juice over 6mg is the same as mine, too much. Like another member already mentioned, lowering the PG levels of your nic juice may also reduce the amount of TH you are getting with the higher nic juice.

Since it sounds like your body is still craving for more nic, why not just vape 6mg most of the time, and pick the best of the higher nic cartos and vape that only when you have a strong craving :)

whoa.... is this true? i just got the provari and have been hitting it just like i hit cigs. in other words, i most definitely inhale. is there some reason not to do this?

Inhaling is fine, just not necessary. The nic is absorbed better in the mouth and nose than in the lungs when vaping. It's different than smoking. You also get more flavor exhaling through the nose. It's a good method to give your lungs and throat a break and still enjoy the vape and the nic.

i still can't believe they won that game on Thursday. i almost went to bed mid-way through the second half they were getting so dominated. i dread the game at Cameron. a double digit tar heel victory wouldn't surprise me even with home court advantage.

I still inhale, not as deeply so I don't cough my head off, but I do inhale slowly now. The main key is, do you REALLY want to quit? Vaping as I understand it is an alternative. Just like the gum or patches, it's not a cig!! However, it tastes better and won't kill you.

I just stopped trying so hard. If I wanted a smoke, I'd have one. If I wanted to chain-vape during a movie, I'd do that too. In the matter of a few weeks I went from 3 packs a day to 1 cig when I woke up. For me
It was the juice taste that did the trick. Why taste ashtray when I can taste cookies instead?

Don't try so hard. Just relax and it will grow on you. I still after 2 months have a cig a couple times a day, sometimes none a day. Depends on the day, lol it is a process. There is no magical cure. You have to work on it just like beating any other addiction.

I'm not trying to rant, I'm just sharing what I have learned from myself and other vapers. I hope it helps.

Same here I wasn't even trying to quit just reduce the amount of cigarettes I was smoking. I smoked for over a year when paddling because I didn't want to take a battery on the water. That was about a pack a month and the rest of the time I would vape even thought there was a pack of cigarettes siting next to me the truck. They just tasted better. Even now I don't see any reason not to have cigarette if I wanted one. I don't care about quitting I just don't want suffer the consequences of a smoking habit.

LOL . . . not a problem, Hound! I'm neither UNC nor Duke. I learned very young to stay neutral. LOL I have two brothers that just happen to be very much into the friendly rivalry and since neither still live in Carolina, I stick with "Welcome to Carolina . . . choose your BLUE"!!

I agree 100% it will take some time , I just cant afford both. I cant use the cartos I just bought and dont want to go through the trial and error steps that 99% of the people do. I DO LIKE the V2 Menthol 6mg for throat hit , TASTE but it didnt kill the cravings like I thought it would. If I can eventually swap out the ones I bought , I will TRY some Menthol Liquids to refill my V2 Menthol Cartos.

I would Love to quit , but I was like you and happy I went from a pack a day down to 5-7 cigs a day and using 1 new V2 prefilled menthol carto.

Ok guys. for those that had not read my first post here on ECF , I basically stated I like the 6mg Menthol I got with my new V2 Kit, but was still having the craves for a real cig.
99% of the responses I got on my first post was to up the Mg to 18-24mg!
ok , after taking basically the Same advice from alot of people , I went from a 6mg prefilled cart to an 18mg cart.
Just got them in today mind you & tried other flavors I thought I would like too. ( all V2 brand prefilled cartos ).

Well , first up was Coffee 18mg. 1st drag I about coughed up a lung ! it even burned inside. and even though the initial smell and taste wasnt bad , the after taste was like an ash tray.

Now , thinking that going from 6mg to 18mg might be a bit much , I also got some 12mg ( Thank God ).
So , I opened up 1 of the COLA 12mg. Not bad. A little strong on the TH , bad not a bad taste at all.

Next , 12mg Chocolate. Not bad , probably wont Vape these .. So I have 4 12 mg Cartos and 5 of the 18 mg Cartos available...

Next , 12 mg. Vanillia. = WAY TO SWEET ...

Next , 12mg Peppermint. Not bad at all , but menthol 6mg is my favorite.

So , what is the advice of the boards this time ? Am I screwed ? Is vaping not for me ? I have basically 30-35 NEW Cartos I will probably never Vape. and to think I could of had a Carton and a couple of packs of regular smokes for what I just paid for these ( ).
I am so disappointed , I really want to just go out and by my smokes and not be disappointed.

I dont care about throat hit. the 6 mg is light/heavy enough. Menthol is good taste , but still had the cravings.
Maybe half smokes and half vapes is for me ? Sure hoping for some good news and good advice.
thanks,
Scott

You sound alot like me, you just need to keep on trying out different juices until you find one which you can say "This! This is the one for me!" and then order 5x30ML bottles of it etc; you will get there eventually and i dont know if your still keeping track of this thread or not but yeh... keep going at it, you will find that flavour eventually

Hi jays1fan, I vape menthol exclusively and i had one heck of a time finding"The One"... I have looked for and tried so many it would boggle the normal persons mind. What does the v2 menthol taste like? If you could try to describe it i may have already tried something that would suit you as a replacement.

The best I can describe it is a true menthol without the tobacco after taste. Very Refreshing and I like the Taste Better than my smokes. ( the Chocolate , Coffee and cola I tried all seemed like a burnt or ashy after taste. ) and these Menthols do not.
Even the Peppermint was off.

I'm a noob too...been vamping about 6 weeks now. And I so completely hear you about being frustrated that you're dropping a ton of money and still not happy. I've been there. With my VERY limited experience, I do have two suggestions:

One, if you are buying liquid to fill your carts and the liquid is freshly made (i.e. not Chinese juice) you almost certainly have to let it steep for a week or more. There is a whole thread on here about steeping.

Secondly, maybe carts aren't right for you. From what I've learned, there are basically three ways to head the liquid: dripping, carts and tanks. Everyone except the noobs seem to be dripping or using carts, but I'm definitely an eGO tank guy. Dripping and carts are way too much work for me. I've really tried to like carts since everyone seems to love them, but I just think their a pain in the a** to fill and the vapor and flavor is significantly less than what I get from my tank.

Before you completely give up, think about dropping another 10 bucks or so for a tank. Or I think there is a way to drip into a cart that wouldn't cost a penny. I was a solid pack a day smoker for a long time and even when I was the most frustrated with my PV it never was bad enough to consider going back to analogs. Good luck!

Would you be willing to fill your own cartos? Or could i suggest that you consider filling your own cartos?

Yes , eventually that was my plan. I bought the prefilled V2 Cartos because they were cheaper than Blanks. I figured even if they didnt have a ton of liquid in them at least I could use them and add juice.
