I buy all my supplies in bulk so I make my juice really cheap. I can make 100ml for under $1. The thing about making your own juice is you can tweak it to your own liking. You know what is going in your juice too. And it's not hard at all. Just learn all the basics. Research and learn all you can, but most of all learn all the safety procedures and be sure to always wear gloves and store your nicotine away from pets and children.

i think the hardest part would be getting the taste figured out. i understand there would be a formula for adding the nicotine to get the level you want, but the flavor, well i see its going to be a learning curve. nice to know the price i pay is about right. where i live there are only two vape shops within a hundred miles. one is about 8 miles and the other is 20 miles, but thats it.

Now if I get my slide rule out and move the line over 11.91, and then move then slide over 170 and hit the total button, it come out to around .07 cents per ml. Not to shabby I would say. Just Do IT !!!!!!!!

Love HotRods' calculator too !!!!!

I just got into that tfa ry4 double in December. It's good stuff! I just made another mix of it with tfa vanilla swirl and tfa sweet cream. It's delicious. I've made a few things with it. It is definitely an easy flavor to work with in my opinion. Or it could just be that I like it so much!

I haven't figured how much it costs for my wife and I to vape my DIY juice. I just did and it really surprised me to how cheap it really is. I did buy a load of VG and PG from essential depot when they had them on sale for 6 bucks for 36oz jug. My nic is way more expensive since I bought it from a Canadian vendor to avoid a customs hassle. I'm in no way exact in my calculations since I didn't add the cost of the flavor(s) nor the shipping cost but never the less my numbers are close enough to raise my eyebrow, sit back and smile.
I simplified by calculating 50/50 mix and for me to vape my 12 nic costs me @2.94$ per 100mls and for my wife's 3 nic its @1.86$ per 100ml. My wife vapes 50mls a week in her subtank mini so a figure of $7.44 a month is awesome vs. the $12.50 USD a week for commercial juice I use to buy for her to vape. I really have no idea how much I vape but its easily double if not more than how much my wife vapes but in the long run compared to commercial juices DIY is the only way to go.
Been building my own juice for almost a year now, rebuilding our attys for almost 3 years. I have my wife's ADV down pat, my Hangsen tobaccos with some tweaking are my ADV's, build coils so we are riding the wave and loving our vape experience.

I love the Double RY4 too. I add AP, and also "Bavarian Cream" - the Diacetyl-free version.

Anyway - YES, making your own liquid is almost as much fun as trying out new hardware! LOL.
If you can make flavors you like, it's a huge $$ win.

My total cost runs about $0.055/ml, and that's NOT scrimping on materials...I get whatever I think will taste best. There are a TON of threads here to read through about mixing, but it is NOT difficult.

You need Nicotine, anywhere above where you vape, but most economical at 100 mgs/ml.
(I like Nude Nicotine, or Wizard Labs.)
You need PG and VG
(I recommend Essential Depot - direct or on Amazon).
You need some empty bottles. You need a way to measure - I use syringes.
You need some flavors - find some simple 1 or 2 flavor recipes that sound good and buy those flavors.
(I usually buy direct from The Flavor APprentice, but sometimes throw some in if buying nic from Wizard Labs)
I recommend a calculator -
(I like ejuicemeup, which runs on PC, has some built-in recipes, and lets you save yours)

Have fun!!

That's about how much I pay. Usually around 20.00 for 30mls. Also depending on how you vape it will either go quickly or last longer. I above sub ohm vape so 30mls. can last me at least 15 days.
My DIY costs 1.2 cents per ml. My current recipe is 48% PG, 48% VG, 1.2% nicotine and 0.8% flavoring. If you were making the same and vaping 2 ml per day as you describe your annual cost of ingrediants would be 365 days X 2 ml = 730 ml X 1.2 cents = $8.76 per year.

I use nicotine from myfreedomsmokes.com. a 1 liter bottle of 100mg concentrate usually costs $50 (there has been a sale recently for $30). If you use 12 mg nic in your 2 ml's per day one liter, stored in amber glass in the freezer, should last 11.4 years. You would buy PG, VG, and flavoring for mixing as needed. I mix once a month, a 15 minute job.

I like all these posts, I DIY for over 3 years now. The cost savings are great. Just stay safe and take your time with mixing. Using a calculator on-line, print the recipe and as you make it, mark the ingredients off. I got lazy once and mixed in double flavorings because it wasn't marked off. (It was easy to correct, but if it had been the nic base I would have been in trouble). I found a battery operated drink mixer ($6 or so) made blending so much easier then shaking. I make up a 250ml base mix with no flavorings and add flavors as I want in 30ml bottles. That lasts about a month. Good luck.

I only enjoy making it if the juice actually turns out really good (which is exceedingly rare in my case) , many friends (some former since providing them with a sample) have used the word "grotesque" and "horrid" to describe it .

With reviews like that not having much fun to be honest .:(:(:(
