Making first purchase

I am looking at making my first vape purchase this weekend for both me and my wife.

We are currently smokers and plan on starting to vape as a replacement. Right now I am open to any advice. We have 4 or 5 local stores and hard to choose cause everyone I have met has been super nice in providing me info.

I was recommended Innoken as a nice starter setup. Trying to stay cheap for initial setup as money is a problem at the moment.
We each smoke about a pack of cigarettes every 2 days. So roughly 10 cigarettes per day. Sometimes more sometimes less depending on the day. I smoke Marlboro Lights and she smokes reds. Any thing that would be a good starter vape liquid for replacements on these.

I am sure I will have more questions but I want this to be my final week smoking cigarettes.

Finding a beginner setup sucks, i would say go with the ego c twist and an iclear but to save you frustration i would say the itaste mvp 2.0 and that will come with an iclear 30 . Juices is a complete trial and error , i make my own juices to save money, but i hope this answers you question welcome to the vape world happy vaping

I started with an iTaste vv/vw v3. It came with 5 iClear 16 tanks and it was pretty good. Juice is hard, I like fruity/sweet type vapes personally.

V2 Pro series 3. I mean 59.99 seems like an outstanding deal for a startup price. Especially since I am purchasing two.

I agree that the MVP2 and Iclear30 is a good starter. A spare tank might also be a good addition.

As for juice, most of the vape shops around me have vape lounges where you can sample flavors before you buy. Find a couple of flavors that you like. Buy small quantities, 1-2 tanks full, after thats gone you can decide whether it's a keeper or continue the search.

the vape shops charge about 100% (and in some cases more) than say ordering it on ebay (fasttech if you've got longer than a week much longer *lol*) or more because they have rent to pay, so if you don't mind paying more.

If I had to do it all over again, MVP 2.0 (comes with an adequate iclear 30 tank $40) and call it a day. I take it in the car, in my pocket. If you need one for more portability later, I used a 1600mah vision or aspire eGo type battery with a Kanger Protank2 for the motorcycle (if I drop it it's maybe 40 bucks gone, but I'm careful not to drop it! that's $40 of juice I could've had out of my ecig budge *lol*). So for the two of you plus some juice you're talking just over $100. Rather than the $300 that Ed and I paid after we walked out of our first Vape Store.

Like others have said I would suggest a mvp 2 and also grab a Iclear 16 while your at it so you can switch between flavors if you get bored with one. I grabbed my mvp this past weekend on Saturday and threw away my pack of analogs and my lighters along with it. As stated before flavors are 100% trail and error what's good for someone might not be good for you so keep that in mind.

If I was just starting out: Innokin iTaste VV (V3) Express kit - 101 Vape I get 2 of those. And 2 of these Kanger Aerotank V2 - 101 Vape and 2 of these http://101vape.com/clearomizers-glassomizers/336-new-kanger-dual-coil-replacement-coils.html excellent liquid to be had at www.nicoticket.com I'd start out at 12mg since you only smoke a pack a day. This is the easiest to adapt to and provides ALOT of bang for your buck. I have several mvp2.o's and 4 vv3's and usually reach for the vv3's. I keep the mvp's as back up if I have to charge a vv3. VV3 can also be used as a passthrough while charging mvp 2's can also be bought on this site.

I would normally recommend an MVP or VV 3 also. Though if money is a really big issue, I would shoot for a blister pack. Normally comes with a battery, clearo and a charger for under $15 each. You will see savings within the first month, and I would use those towards either an MVP or VV which can last a long time letting you save more. You can normally find MVPs for $35 ish and I've seen VV 3's to $27. I only suggest the blister pack because you said that you need it for both you and your wife and also that money right now is tight. Good luck and pre-congrats bud.

Either the VVv3 or the MVP 2 from Innokin are great devices. Maybe get two VVv3s (one for you and your wife) and get one MVP 2 to use as back up and a portable charging device. If you have the money, get two of each. Both devices can be used as a passthrough, so you can vape while it's charging. For tanks, go with glass over plastic. Some juices can react with plastic, and glass tanks avoid this. The Mini Protank II is inexpensive and easy to maintain. It uses a single heating coil, rather then dual heating coils, which means that they're cheaper to replace then the Mini Protank III coils, or Aerotank coils. Dual coils provide better taste though, so if that matters more to you, then spring for the Aerotank Mini for the VVv3 and a larger size for the MVP 2.

I wouldn't go for the Series 3. V2 uses a less common connection type, and it'll limit what you can try.

If your referring to the mvp2 or the vvv3 then yes, it comes with everything you need except for juice. I payed a little more for my mvp2 ($50) but I got mine locally because I just had to have it right then and there.

I agree. Sometimes when I read the comments made to a newcomer, I wonder if people even read what the OP wrote before they post about some rather advanced, expensive device.

It reminds me of going to the hairdresser, and describing exactly how you would like your hair to be cut. Then the hairdresser cuts your hair in whatever style THEY currently love at the moment.

I almost always recommend the MVP or VV/VW to a beginner. There are more affordable setups, but I learned the hard way that if your gear doesn't work right frustration sets in and the cigarettes come out. I started vapeing in 2009, and didn't finally quit until 2014.

With the amazing new stuff out there there is a quality piece for everyone's budget.
Is it going to be a hand build top of the line mod? Probably not, but that is not what you need to start.
You need something that will work reliably so you don't pick up the cigs.
Then if you get into the hobbyist aspect that many of us do there is more out there.
If all you are looking to do is quit cigs, you have what you need save spare coils and juice.
