I agree that the Dymo Label Makers are great, but if you want to use those Avery 8160 labels, then I highly recommend going to Avery.com and download their free Avery Label Wizard. I think you have to have Microsoft Word to use it (2003 or higher). I like adding colorful clip art to my labels and the Wizard makes this very easy.

Avery has a Free Download for Word.

It is Dead Simple to use. Just select the Lable # and it sets up a Word Doc with the Right Size Feilds.

Check it Out.

Are you referring to the Avery Wizard or the free Word templates? I started out using the templates, but it found it nearly impossible to add and resize clipart. However, I am pretty sure that almost everyone here is more advanced than I am on MS Word. :)

Here

Just downloaded. You might need to clear all the labels then save so you can use the template for random printing of labels. I will give it a try and get back with an EDIT of this post with further instructions.

EDIT: Found it difficult dealing with the image location with text. Word takes over text location and wraps text around the image. Would be usable for text only labels. Would first need to clear everything and save a blank sheet. Then you could populate the particular label you wanted to print allowing you to reprint in different positions when needed. Just remember to start your "random" printing in position 30. That way the label sheets will continue to "feed" properly for additional labels.

Okay, figured it out. After insert image use the "wrap" option from the drawing toolbar. Select "in front of text". You can then position your image better.:) When "clearing" the original DON'T clear the label outlines. These don't print but are needed to locate your text and images. Always duplicate/copy the base file before playing with anything. Good luck!

Look on the left side of the page for "blank" templates!

I use the Avery Wizard.

It's not too bad doing Graphics. I'm using Word 2010.

Since u making labels it is pretty safe to assume u have made up a batch of delish e juice - how abt spreading the wealth of you time, labor n $ so some of us can benefit from it - lol

Tic,$$$,Toc,$$$.Tic,$$$,Toc. Okay here goes. I have come to the conclusion that this mixing thing is as much an art as a talent. I've tried the multi flavor, multi strength mixes with little success. Everything just gets blended together and becomes, to one degree or another, tasteless. So far I have only used TPA and FA flavors. Both companies are easy to deal with and have good product. FA took 12 days to get here, TPA several days(3+). I go big, sooo, 100ml FA cost $30 after shipping&taxes and fees(VAT & international charge fees). TPA a little less.

I would suggest getting TPA's small sizes of flavor types you think you might like before going big. As has been said over and over, taste is very subjective. For me the "honey" tinted flavors are to much. I seem to lean more to the nutty flavors and vanilla tints. I can not stress to much, higher %'s = less flavor. Currently I have decided to mix single flavors so I can identify flavors and strengths. Using the e juice me up calculator I mix 5ml @3%, vape, decide to increase from there. I also vape for flavor as if I were smoking a pipe. In, out through the nose in small puffs. This seems to provide the most flavor for me.

I have also lowered my expectations of what flavor is. In the beginning I had expected flavors to "pop" but have found them to be more subtle in fact. But then again, everyone is different. Anyway, I am finding even the TPA flavors are coming through at 3%, to my surprise. Many have said they needed up to 15%. So as I said, start low and move up. An example would be the Cherry and Lemon. I have found both to be rather light where others have said they are strong. Go figure.

Bottom line. Mixing your own will save lots of $$( as low as .08 per ml) in the long run. Consider mixing like a hobby and try and try again. Sooner or later you will find the right mix for you and it will all be worth it in the end. Besides, with all the flavors and PG/VG around you are less likely to be left high and dry waiting on the mail for a pre-mix. You also have complete control of the nic levels as well. I am currently down to 3mg strength. Working towards 0. Could not control levels as well with pre-mixes.

Otherwise, cruise these threads and try the recipes that are posted. You are bound to find something you like.

Pretty long winded, but you asked:)

EDIT: Forgot. Forget about drops. Go with %'s. Every liquid and dropper have different consistencies. I found PG is actually thinner than water(more drops per ml). Also use the smallest measurement device possible. eg. 1ml syringe for small levels, 3 and 5ml as needed. Much easier to get .15ml using a 1ml syringe than a 5ml syringe. Remember, you are after something that can be repeated over time. I got all my syringes via Amazon in bulk really cheap. 100 for $16. Blunt needles as well.

Thanks for typing up that - appreciate it. As a noob to this - I ordered my DIY stuff from Wizard labs - flavors from them are either Loranns or Flavor Apprentice - have u tried any of these brands? Who is TPA? Am assuming FA is Flavor apprentice -sorry for the stupid questions.

TPA is what Flavor Apprentice used to be called. I see they have changed their web site to reflect their "flavor" department. FA is FlavourArt an Italian supplier. Some vendors here carry their products.

So yes I have used FA(TPA) and FlavourArt . I prefer to go direct rather than through someone else. I got some samples of FA(TPA) once from a vendor but they came in plastic rather than the glass bottles you get directly from FA.

No I haven't used the others you mentioned. Spend some time in this DYI group and you will see several threads rating the various flavor brands. Good luck.:)

As I said, taste is very subjective. I decided to stick with a couple of vendors for consistency. Once I've gotten this thing down better I might try others.

Not a problem, there are no stupid questions!
