According to your logic it would be acceptable if you go to three different McDonald's in a week. Keeping in mind you've never been to a McDonald's. You always order a big Mac and they always give you a cheeseburger. So you walk around thinking a cheeseburger is a big mac because you were misinformed and have no clue. Would you cut them some slack because they were in the ballpark? I think it might start to piss you off a bit. No?

I think you are simplifying it a bit too much with that analogy. I would think it would be more like going to a car dealership talking to the salesman, pointing out an SUV on the lot, and honestly mistaking that for a 3rd row or 2 row edition of the vehicle.

A big mac and a cheeseburger are 2 COMPLETELY different items that look COMPLETELY different. A McD's employee not knowing a difference between a Big Mac and a Cheeseburger would be similar to a car salesman not knowing the difference between a Chevy Cruze and a Chevy Tahoe. Or a vape employee that cannot tell the difference between a Box mod and an Ego.

Like some people have said, these mall kiosk people are just trying to make cash. They probably don't know all that much about what they're selling, they're just trying to squeeze their way into it to make some quick cash. I'm sure most people on this forum could school them about vaping, so I wouldn't even worry about what they're selling or telling the customers. Not my problem xD

Not sure what the issue is. You have some issues if you had to walk away before you "laid into the guy".

People on here don't know the difference between RBA's, RDA's, Atties, Clearos, Tanks, Carts, Drippers, Bridgeless you name it. At all mall Kiosk, I do not expect the guy to know anything. They are basically a teenager that signs up to do Kiosk work... he/she may do sunglasses one day, greeting cards another. They are basically just a body.

Do you go into Walmart and expect everyone in Walmart to know everything about every product?

So he got the mah rating mixed up.. Quick check of the package shoudl clear that up. I have been into specialty stores with experts that mix things up but eventually after a conversation they get it right. Was in Verizon (not a kiosk or mall - I despise malls) getting a iphone for my daughter.. she wanted the 5S instead of the 6. The guy kept telling me the price was 199 for the 5S. The sign said 99. I knew better and knew by the end of the conversation we would get it right. SO before I corrected him I asked if they sell more 6s than 5S.. He said that is all we sell. There ya go explainable and I did correct him at the end and he said "Sorry you are right." No worries and definitely not a reason for me through a hissy fit.

The point was if you didn't know any better and finally found out you've been getting the wrong thing all that time, you'd be annoyed.

Perhaps "laid into the guy" was a bit harsh. I certainly wasn't going to have a "hissy fit" because of an inept sales person. I was just trying to make a point. If you're not mature enough to refrain from insults, please go post on another thread.

Most people on here are not selling RBA's, RDA's, Atties, Clearos, Tanks, Carts, and Drippers. They come here to educate themselves about them so your point is invalid.

"Do you go into Walmart and expect everyone in Walmart to know everything about every product?:" is quite a silly analogy. What I would expect is if someone worked in a certain department that they have just a morsel of knowledge about what they're selling. However...not necessarily in Walmart. That's pushing it a bit. These mall guys sell one type of merchandise and only one all day.

"So he got the mah rating mixed up.. Quick check of the package should clear that up." - Should he really have to check the package? Again, don't ya think he should know a bit about his merchandise? If he wasn't sure a simple "let me check" would would have sufficed. As I mentioned earlier. Imagine your family member going to one of these guys and getting screwed because of the sales person's lack of knowledge. You'd be a bit annoyed.

I agree 100%. It just annoys me that people who are trying to do something positive for themselves are being misinformed and taken advantage of.

Sorry but a big mac and a cheeseburger are both types of burgers. If we're going to get nit picky and you don't get what I'm trying to convey something is wrong with you.

How bout a vape employee not know the difference between an RDA and a dripper? That's acceptable?

RDA and dripper are 2 different ways of calling the same thing. Kinda like Soda and Pop. I know it is kind of dumb that the guy didn't know what RDA means, but he still got the answer correct by calling it a dripper, but incorrect by saying it is not an RDA.

A Big Mac and a cheeseburger are burgers yes. A big mac has 2 patties and a 3rd piece of bun with lettuce. A cheeseburger looks COMPLETELY different. But whatever, we can agree to disagree and whatnot.

I do agree with you about one thing. All vape kiosk employees are ...... on the scale of hatred (by me) that rivals telemarketers.

I hear what you're saying. I just used that analogy, although maybe not the best, to make a point. You know what I was saying. Either way, in the end, you said exactly what I am trying to express throughout this whole thread. "All vape kiosk employees are ...... on the scale of hatred that rivals telemarketers". Maybe I just find it more annoying than the average person but I assure you, I don't lose sleep over it. Much bigger issues in the world these days to be concerned about.

You said you had to walk away before you laid into him. Shrug... Insults? It was not an insult.

Since you started the thread, I won't post in your chest thumping thread any longer. Sorry you can't take criticism.

My point here is if these guys are going to sell this stuff, they should really know what the hell they're selling.

I so agree with you! As a newbie (almost 3 months) I want to know everything and fully expect that person behind the counter to know his product. If he represents it, he should know everything about it or someone be present who does.

You said "You have some issues"... if you had to walk away before you laid into the guy. I must have misconstrued that statement. Implying someone has issues seems like an insult to me. Not criticism.

It's a mature discussion. Not a "chest thumping thread". Thank you for your input though.

"Everything" may be asking a bit much. I'd just like them to know a little bit and if they don't know, just say so. I'd rather have them tell me "let me check on that" before they give me or anyone incorrect information. Either way though, it seems we are the minority here. ;)

BTW. Congrats on getting off cigarettes. Stay strong. :)

You're forgetting this is a MALL KIOSK. MALL. KIOSK. I don't see how you can expect them to know anything about what they're selling.

A minority? no. I don't think anyone is particularly disagreeing that we should all expect sales people to be better educated about their products. Where I think we do disagree is in the amount of negative energy we expend when we find out that our expectations don't meet this reality.

I too expected sales people to be educated about their products, but life experience has taught me that if I have that expectation all the time, I am going to be disappointed almost all the time. Therefore I modified my behavior rather than expecting everyone else to modify theirs.

I suggest you do the same, otherwise you're going to spend a lot of your time walking around on the verge of laying into people a lot of the time.

There's not a kiosk in the mall here, but I have serious reservations when it comes to those type of shops. I've seen cheap ego batteries, cheap ego clearomizers and small bottles of juice popping up in gas stations. I wonder how safe those products are. Do they have any kind of quality control? I'm a fan of Innokin and Kanger products..I know my MVP isn't going to explode on the charger or in my face...I know the Kanger tanks I use are made well and both companies give you codes to make sure you're getting an authentic product. Is someone going to be poisoned by vaping their juice? Call me paranoid or whatever, but those kind of products worry me.

It's a gas station... and retail store, not a Vape shop. Odds are the owners don't vape nor know anything about the products they carry other than it makes them money. Quality control is not their concern. I doubt anyone would get poisoned by it... I don't know. Wouldn't waste my money on it.

Not to rain on your parade... buying brand name gear is great but anything electronic can fail in a bad way. Odds don't favor your MVP exploding... but batteries go bad... shorts happen... switches stick... even with proper usage.

I never said I was asking for everybody to "modify their behavior". Just sharing an experience and my viewpoint. Mine and only mine. Everyone has a right to have an opinion and I respect that. Although I appreciate your suggestion to modify mine, If I want to go around being disappointed, I will respectfully say, that's my choice. Same thing goes for your choice to not let it bother you.

My life experiences have taught me the same thing you mentioned but it's still annoying. It's a shame we've come to be so submissive in this society to accept and even expect this sub-par level of service from our merchants but as I said earlier in the thread, It is annoying but I'm not losing sleep over it.
