Some pages back is a little discussion on these batteries between buzz, Matt, myself and perhaps a few others. The Orbs or these in the link below....compare the two. The green jacketed Panasonics are definitely less expensive though last I checked only came in the flat top which may influence your choice. I have like four of each...Orb and Panasonic and use both in a orion V3 with what seems like identical results....I go through between 5ml-6ml of juice on a single charge running the Orion at 15w.

I really do appreciate the input folks. I do wish lighthound carried both of those batteries. Simply because they are located in Texas and I normally get my orders from them within 2 days. I think I'm going to order some of each and see which ones suit me the best. :)

Does anyone know anything about these? AW 18650 Protected 3100 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery Couple extra hundred mAh in these bad boys.

Those batteries will not work. The max discharge rate on those is 5.8 amps. The DNA20 requires a minimum of 7amps. Using those batteries could be disastrous. The best bet would be the Panasonics CGR's or NCR's. They have a discharge rate of 10 amps. If you have anymore questions about batteries don't hesitate to ask.

Will protected even work with the DNA20?

Yes, as long as they fit and as long as it doesnt limit the amp output too much. The protection circuit ads a few mm to the length of the bat and it might be too tight of a fit. There's no need for protected batteries though, the dna20 has all the built in protection you need..... (except for reverse polarity protection ;) )

Six word MCM story: Trés is here. He is glorious. :D

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the non-flush button, but I can definitively say I love it now. #82 I thought to be small and pocketable (not that I would do that, because I'd be really upset if I dropped it), but #129 is even thinner. And I love it. And the grain on #129 -- amazing! Thanks Matador for making some beautiful wood mods. :toast:

P.S. -- BuGlen's Leopardwood looks awesome.

P.P.S -- I kind of want to know what happened to #128, lol.
