Booya!!! I am so happy to get the Birdseye maple mod! I was really torn between the 2 of them. Thanks so much, Matt. All paid!!

If anyone is looking for a size comparison, this MCM DNA20 is very close to the size of the extinct Hogmod. It's a fabulous size to hold in your hand for men or women. I have only had it for 15 minutes, and it already my favorite! Hey, Matt, are you doing something different with the finish? It seems more satiny than the dna 12 mods. I really like it.

Damn, waited all morning and checked too late :(

He puts them up on a consistent basis so don't be too disappointed...... I'm considering waiting on a 26650 by chance he comes up with a a design he likes and can implement.....in the meantime probably just pick me up something inexpensive to get my vw fix.:)

EDIT: A dual 18650 would work too.

Nice, got the Makawhackamole one! Love the color and grain of it, will make the led of the DNA pop. Thanks Matt!

He puts them up pretty often so subscribe and be diligent and you'll get one. I really prefer the way he sells them instead of a list or pre sale, it allowed me to use my stalking superpowers effectively ;) and it gets shipped soon after.

I'm very interested in the 26650 possibility as well, can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Good chance I'll only "bite" if Matt goes to a list or pre-order.....I'm too damn polite and/or "civilized" when it comes to acquiring hard to get mods.....lol

Here's some info on the DNA20 and its functions. A few people have asked me about this so I thought I would post this info in the thread. :)

Normal Operation

Watt setting: The power level currently set on the DNA 20D.

Battery indicator: The current state of charge of the battery.

Volts display: The current or most recent output voltage being supplied to the atomizer.

Ohms display: The resistance of the atomizer attached to the device. This is measured only when the
unit is supplying power to the atomizer. At other times, it shows the most recent measurement.

Other modes

Locked mode: Pressing the fire button five times with less than .7 seconds between presses will cause
the device to enter Locked mode. In Locked mode, the device will not fire and the output power will not
adjust accidentally. While in Locked mode, the screen will be off, except that pressing a button will show
“Locked, Click 5X”. To exit Locked mode, press the fire button 5 times.

Stealth mode: While locked, pressing the fire and down buttons simultaneously for five seconds will
switch to stealth mode. In this mode the display is off. It will still show error messages and the “Locked,
Click 5X” advisory. To switch back to normal display mode, from locked mode hold down the fire and
down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This setting is stored to internal flash memory, and remains
if power is removed.

Right Mode and Left Mode: While locked, holding the fire and up buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds
flips the display. This allows for maximum flexibility in designing the mod, as well as accommodating left
handed vapers. This setting is stored to internal flash memory, and remains if power is removed. Please
note that if using a potentiometer instead of a button, this option is not available. However, it can be set
before soldering the potentiometer on during manufacture.

Error Messages

The DNA 20 will indicate a variety of error states.

Check Atomizer: The DNA does not detect an atomizer, or the atomizer has shorted out.

Shorted: The atomizer or wiring are short circuited.

Check Battery: The battery is below 3.1 volts. It probably needs to be charged.

Weak Battery: The battery sags excessively when firing. This typically means the user is not using a high
rate battery, or the battery is old and degraded. It can also mean the battery is not making good contact.

Too Hot: The DNA 20D has onboard temperature sensing. It will shut down and display this message if
the internal board temperature becomes excessive.

Too low power setting: The DNA 20D puts out a minimum of 4 volts. With low power settings (7 to 8
watts) and low resistance atomizers (below 2 ohms) the DNA will sometimes be unable to provide a low
enough power output to be power regulating. If this is the case, the Ohms display will be flashing. The
device will still operate.

Auto power down

The screen will be at full brightness while firing. After 15 seconds with no button presses, the screen will
dim. 4 minutes after the last button press, the screen will fade out and the device will go to sleep mode.
Pressing any button will turn the device and display back on.

Thanks for the refresher! Got mine this morning and I can't put it down. The CRGPanasonics are working great. I love the finish and size. The white wenge is darker than the pictures and the door is tight and perfect. Button is springy and that is how I prefer it. Clicky buttons seem cheap to me. Sorry Grim Green.

Okay, I've used the MCM20 for a couple of hours now and compared it to my other mods.

First off, I really like the size a lot. Prefer it over the tall design of the Original MCM. I put an in-line volt meter over the atty and the voltage regulation is spot on. Interesting that it rounds up even if the voltage is 4.13 it still reads 4.2.

Other than that, it performs just the same as the original MCM, which is phenomenal. I vape around 8-10 watts so having 20 watts is pure overkill, I just got it for the LCD screen and the fact that every time I wanted to check the resistance of a coil or carto, I had to plug it into the provari to read it.

With this Mod I can safely say that it outperforms the provari in every way possible. It looks good, is small and light and can fire every type of carto or atty out there. Want to go nuts and vape at 15 Watts? No problem!! Want to take it easy and enjoy a vape at 8 Watts? No problem.

This Mod is the only mod you will ever need!!

Matador, thank you for such an amazing mod.

I'll post a video review shortly.

I've been using my Zebra DNA20 mod since I got it a few days ago. This mod totally rocks! The size is just perfect, workmanship is top notch. The display is so easy to read. And it's so easy to change wattages, easier than anything else I own, so simple to use. I just got the BirdseyeDNA20, and it is fantastic! If these were available when I first started collecting wood mods, this is all I'd ever use. Thanks, Matt!!! :)

Hopefully by the end of next week. I have a few people coming to look at my house to hopefully buy it, so I have to keep my shop super clean till that happens. I'll get more made as soon as I can and I'll keep you all posted. :)

It's a shop if it's not dirty then it's not being used properly. Jk don't know if you saw my pm but don't worry about it will keep an eye on the thread and hopefully pick one up in the coming weeks. Thank you for making amazing mods that I can not wait to obtain. Any chance of one in a dark almost black wood in the future?
