The Black Manual 801 kits and batteries were only added 5 hours ago for purchase.

We haven't had a chance to do the photos yet.

They look the same as the Manual 901 Batteries (1 piece) and are compatible the the 801 atomisers.

The Red and Blue 801 Manual Kits and batteries will be leaving the factory to us on Friday. They should be available on the website early next week.

My USB charger has some of the threads still showing when a battery is in it. As long as the connector is the standard 801 thread, the usb charger would work - I think. I also have a couple of universal usb chargers, but I think the button would prevent the insertion, unless the button needs depressed in order to allow a charge.

If the battery can charge without pressing the button, then there has to be a diode in there to isolate the charger on the connection that bypasses the button. That means either the charger will not charge up the battery fully or the charger puts out slightly more voltage to make up for the voltage drop across the diode.

Sure would like a technical explanation, Mr. Ed.

Thanks Sun, we're still here! (damn, never get to go anywhere)

We're working on an adapter that can just screw into the 901 & 801 AC charger and will lengthen (bring forward) the thread so that the manual batteries will just screw in without the button getting in the way. Other than that, the AC charger works fine for both manual and auto batteries.

Or you can just pop the little rubber button off when charging.....

I am not being clear enough, it seems.

In the end, it seems it doesn't matter. The charger has to have a route around the auto switch as well. Therefore the only concern would be room for the protruding switch to fit in the charger.

It would seem, depressing the switch while charging would allow a slightly higher voltage to be applied to the battery (the allowance for the drop across the diode.) Maybe we get a 285maH battery instead of 280 maH?!?!

We've completed the adapter for existing 901 AC chargers:

manualacadapter3.jpg

Only $1.99 HERE

It works by screwing onto your existing AC charger between the battery and charger like this so that the manual button doesn't hit the outside plastic of the charger:

and the finished result looks like this:

Now if this is useful (less risk of popping off easily lost buttons), we might start making them for the 801 AC charger as well rather than going USB.

Beats me why the manufacturers can't just make 1 AC charger with a whole bunch of adapters to suit the different threads out there

Our next project (and yes it may take months), will be to make the following battery adapters:

901 to 510
901 to 801

510 to 901
510 to 801

801 to 510
801 to 901

Stay Tuned! :w00t:
