I much prefer autos as the juice taste is much more noticeable than with a manual. I have been using a 801 Classic from Janty for 8 months now-With the manuals I find that there is no taste except at 6v. My sweet spot is 5v with a passthrough auto.
I have tried various manuals, but still prefer my autos
I believe that Janty's is the Joye 302, also a penstyle. It's my favorite ... other than the new low-resistance DSE801, e.g., from NHaler.

I've only used the automatic and I like them fine but I have a feeling I'll be trying the manual pretty soon.
Guess you went manual, as your avatar is a chuck. :D

I'll stick with manuals and my battery mods (see signature). I got tired of replacing auto batteries because the micro switch would get gummed up. I also got tired of the manual battery buttons breaking so easily, so I went to the battery mods. They last a LONG time and the batteries are much cheaper.

My first attempt was an auto. I kept it for maybe a day and a half or so? Not long, for sure.

The priming puff to get it fired up was OK, I can deal with learning a puffing technique. But to have it time out on me... And then the only way to get the stupid thing to reset was to put it on a charger for a few minutes. Glad it's gone!
