Manual v. Auto--Big Difference on Throat Hit-Joye 510

When I first ordered, not knowing the difference, i ordered an Auto battery. The two we purchased have been losing their charge so I ordered an manual battery just to see if the draw would be different.

OMG, now I know what a "throat hit" is...the difference between the Auto and Manual is significant. Now, I undertand what people were saying here about "control" with the manual, makes it much more similar to an analog.

I didn't really like the idea of hitting a button so I initially went with Auto, to be more "authentic" but my advice to newbies first ordering and making the initial switch from analog to e-cig...go with the manual..it is so much more satisfying!! :D

manual sealed battery's are the best they have a much longer expected life span. with the button you can preheat an get a nice draw with lots of vapor with out sucking so much. auto battery's need to be pulled from the market they are flawed in design they need to go back to the drawing board. i will never buy another none manual unsealed battery. auto battery's make vaping look bad a new user buys it for the effect of real smoking but ends up breaking it an getting mad maybe never buying one again. if auto battery's are going to be use they should be used in only disposable version.

Yeah, I had a lot of problem with auto batts, most of the ones I bought new were defective (didn't stay charged, would only take about 15 min before the light showed they were fully charged) and even when I got one that worked they did not seem to last much longer than a couple weeks, before something went wrong with them. So, it kind of made me not want to keep vaping, so i just kept up with analogs for the past 6-8 months now.

I recently decided to order a manual kit from V4L, not sure how well I'll get used to having to push a button, but we will see I guess. Hopefully things work out better this time and I don't get frustrated and just go back to analogs once i've tried it out a while. I really do want to quit, or at least cut way back on analogs.

It takes about 1 minute to get used to hitting a button, if that long.

Congrats and pitching the cigarettes again!! And just remember, it's not a RACE, you're not doing anything WRONG if you still have a few and look at it like this, how many cigs AREN'T you having a day when you pick up your PV.

You'll be down to 0 smokes sooner than you think! :)

I have both for a 510...

I do think the manual gives a slightly better hit both with carts and with cartos. But sometimes it is nice to just take a hit with the automatic. Like when you are driving.

Also, I have fried a few atomizers and Cartomizers because the button was pressed when I put it in a case.

For me its kinda a toss up. Like the hit of the manual. Like the ease of a automatic.

I agree about starting out with a manual. We started with automatics and lordy was it a horrible experience. My cousin pointed me to this forum and I instantly got me and my boyfriend 510 manuals. Haven't looked back (well, except for the $$$ I spent on previous e-cigs) since.
 :)
