This might have been done before already, but I'd be interested in seeing others responses regarding the pros and cons of each. I'm only talking about the regulars because I've never tried either a shortie or an XL batt. This is my experience with the pros and cons of both:

Manual Pros:

Excellent throat hit
More consistency regarding vapor and throat hit
No primer puffs needed

Manual Cons:

Seems to die pretty fast
Buttons aren't always easy to push down on

Auto Pros:

Very good throat hit
Lasts a goodly amount of time before a recharge is needed
No buttons to push

Auto Cons:

Learning curve on the best way to draw
Doesn't seem to be *quite* as powerful as a manual
Primer puff usually needed

I have two manuals here, and they both lose their power very rapidly --generally within 45 minutes of fairly steady vaping there is a drastic reduction in vapor and throat hit (these were both free so I don't need any replacements :) ), which is why I keep going back to the autos. But I'm wondering if this is the norm, or am I just too heavy a vaper for any manual battery?

I have 2 reg manual ,1 XL manual and I agree with you about how they work.I had friend give me one of the older Plain white fat auto's. I had to hit it like I was lighting a cigar to make it work it. I did not like it at all. I now have the new XL auto's and they work great no primer puff needed and they last pretty long before needing a charge. They are almost as good as a passthru but without the cord. Now I don't have carry my computer around just to get a good vap. Very Happy camper.

I think the key to your comment is the learn the best way to draw part. I don't use a primer puff and get plenty of carto and batt life, (and vapor) from the auto batts. As Steve has said, loooong and slooow is the trick. Not knocking the manuals but the autos work great for me.

I don't always need a primer puff (and I don't at all with my new one), but I do sometimes with my older batts. I think that also has to do with how well the carto is working.

I'm glad to know it's not just me with the manuals, though. They just die too fast for me. The autos last at least twice as long for me as the manuals do.

i use 2 manuels for the whole day. I start at about 9 am and im up til 2 am. and i vape a lot. my first manuel will last from 9 to about 500 or so give or take. then i put on my 2nd manuel on and that will last me to around 11pm til about midnite give or take again. Then after that i usually vape my greencigs and gc battery til i go to bed. i always use my greencig late at nite cause i just love it and it really relaxes me.
OK then beforee i go to bed i put both my VK manuels on the charger. 1 goes on the wall charger and other goes on the PCC. i really get a lot of time on my manuels. i cant complain.
Now i have a question. i ordered a single logo auto battery from V4L and that is great as well. not as good as the manuel but close. now about the XLongs as i want to order 1. are the autos just as good as the manuels. Cause i want to start getting a few autos. Besides the manuel XL is only available in chrome and i dont care for chrome. Thanks for any info.
I am a very happy vaper. These products are made very strong.
i forgot to ask how long in inches is the XLong auto and manuel battery. Is it 4 1/8? Please i need to know this thank you

the xtra long manuals come in colors and the autos work as long and strong.

Thanks keyzygirl but i wanted maybe the single logo manuel and that only comes in chrome. i dont thiunk i would like the chrome but maybe i will.
Can someone tell me what the chrome looks like. i mean is it very shiny? if its kinda dull that wouldnt be bad.
anyway so this is why i may have to get an XL auto
thanks though

I reached for my micrometer - and they're both packed and at the new house. [pout]

So - to the precision possible with a tape measure - both of my XL Autos [Single Logo/White] are 4-1/8" [~104.775mm] on the money from the end of the LED cover/pseudo-ash to the top of the gold screw fitting.

I like the life of the XL Auto, and I like the vapor production. It's just a little long and heavy for my smoking style, which I haven't modified that much. The regular battery is easier to hold in two fingers, and release in the lips to inhale. I'm resisting changing too much because I believe it's part of my success, being able to duplicate the parameters of a 13 year established habit. But that's totally just me.

The regular battery with a cartomizer is almost identical to my 120's I'm used to [in length, it's not "slim" though]

Adrenalynn Thank you for your answer. wow really in detail lol fantastic. Yeh that may be too long for me as i dont like batteries that long but others say its so powerfull i have to try it. But i have to say the regular size manuels i have are pretty darn powerfull as is. Does anyone thing these are pretty close to the XL as far as power or not? yeh i may get the automatic also. I wish they had the VK manuel with the single logo. I just am not crazy for all the logos on the batteries but its ok. To me they look a lot nice with single logo but thats just my perference. Thanks again.

I prefer the auto's only because quite often I'm using both my hands for other things (typing for one) and I can hold the VK in my teeth and still draw "look ma, no hands :)"

The manuals give a better throat hit IMHO though so I'm very very anxiously awaiting new switchable batts :D
