Seeing as 2.0 has been the standard on pc's for about 10 years now I think it's time to consider a newer computer...My advice (short of the new computer) would be to go to a Radioshack or BestBuy etc. and pick up a powered USB hub which has the added advantage of moving the USB connector to your desktop eliminating and cable length issues as well with a PT.

Did some checking, I do have USB 2.0 ports on my current laptop. I guess the "This device could run faster on a USB 2.0 port" message was still stuck in my head from my previous one. lol

The USB hub is a great idea, though. Wasn't using my desktop because the USB Charger stuck out in an awkward position and was afraid it would get knocked off or broken.
