MAP Tank Mod

I am stalking the cov store! Stu, you got me worried about the leaking business, I am hoping they are improving this. I want one of these so when I am at work I can just grab it and hit it without having to worry about topping of etc. I use cartos but am always topping off, since I chain vape, it is often because I can get long carto life if I constantly top off and at high voltage, letting them even start to get dry is a no no.

I put a pack of clearomizers in my cart too, I should have grabbed those on my last order so I could get a feel for the whole thing.

Well, mine only leaks due to the fact that the center post (CE-2) moves. By this, it goes up and down, the top should fit into the delrin top as thats how it should go. I just get to much liquid into the cup and it goes down the (inside) of he post.
I can't tilt it, not a big deal. I only use it @ home. I use the eGo tank atty when I leave the home (Dr's, shopping, etc., etc,...)

Will the XL clear CE2's work as replacement Attys (Hope so I got a bunch)

I saw a video here somewhere that says no,the clearomizer inard won't work.Apparently you need about 1/4 of the bottom of a metal tube for these.May have been on the video on COV website.
I was hoping the same as Atomic Cinnacide destroys the clearomizer tube in one fill,so the guts are piling up quick

Thanks for the reply Stubear. I ordered some clearomizers too. I figured I play with one of those first because I am jumping right from cartos and have no clue at all about all this ceramic business. Figured I would get a feel for how they vape etc and then proceed to the map tank.

I believe Bruce did say that the clearomisers won't work with the MAP Tanks. Don't quote me on that, though. But I believe he said that on the video of his show. Take a look as its with in one of the threads here and make sure it will or won't b4 buying. All I know is the SS XL CE-2's are the only ones to work in the Tank.

Clearomozers will not fit in a MAP Tank, the knurled base is not the same size as the CE2's and the clear tube is
to large.

Mine are for seperate use, for my not all day vape stuff. I hike around outside, play in the mud etc so tote'n around the map all the time might not be such a great thing, My chucks hit the floor a lot so I now can have some different options depending on my environment. Since I noticed everyone is out of blank mega cartos, I figure it is time to explore these things. Gotta always have some serious backup and no way am I going back to attys! This might require a bit of trial and error but I'll get it all figured out along with my preferences pretty quick.

How long do these usually run for before a cleaning? I got mine 2 days ago and have been vaping on it as my main on my ego passthru. last night it vaped fine and this morning it seemed clogged and i got burnt atty taste. Is there some priming method to do after its been sitting for a while (ie overnight)? its vaping ok now but im still getting slight burnt taste every so often.

Its also turning the juice darker. not to much darker just a couple shaded. I think this is due to vapor getting inside the tank. I make sure to do a few quick dry puffs to get the vapor out. but are there any things or warning signs i should look out for? And for cleaning just soak it in pga? I have some everclear on hand just for this purpose. (dont drink at all)

Depends on your juice, some gunk up quicker than others. When you notice that taste and your juice starting to turn darker, that's a sign the atty coil is gunked up (look at it and you'll see it caked on there). Many cleaning methods out there... I sometimes use Vodka/PGA but a dry burn is usually enough to 'de-gunk'.

Gotcha. I'm vaping waffle juice so it's fairly clear. Tank is now yellow. Will clean when I vape more of it (have like 3 ml left). Scored another map tank today too btw

I just got mine today. I have absolutely no experience with CE2's so watched the vids again and filled her up. Got some initial leaking through the connection, probably due to my inexperience with filling CE2 cartos but overall first impression is Divine! Currently using a 3.2 on an original Phidius chipped for 5v.

Should I be keeping the mod in an up right position to avoid leakage or doesn't it matter?

I was a bit disappointed to see the clearomizer internals wouldn't work for sure.Man that would have been nice.Oh well,guess I'll buy a nice little tube cutter !!

I was searching through this thread looking for info about how safe cinnamon juice is for the tank. Anyone have input on this?
