I don't like forcing the pin out of the E2 to drain I just use a syringe to remove jucie works just like sucking it out of a bottle, or I remove the top grommet and pour it out.
I always start with the top when I replace an E2

Yeh I figured I'm gonna use my syringe as well... Otherwise I'd probably break the e2...
Also will these work: C-E2 510 XL Cartomizer 3.1 Ohm or would these be better: C-E2 808D-1/901 Cartomizer 2.5 Ohm?

You have to use the connector that fits your PV 510 and 808 are totaly different connectors

Is it easier getting the top grommet off than the bottom? Once you do, do you push from the top or pull from the bottom for the bottom grommet?

Gary, it seems to depend on the tank itself. These are built to spec, but there can be some variation at times. I have one that's a bear to break down, the other is easier. Since I find it easier to remove the bottom using an old ego style battery, that's what I do (big clumsy hands don't help either.) I normally don't break it down until I've pretty well drained it. Since I've been doing that, I don't even remove the top. I run the E2 under hot water, soak in alcohol, dry it out, dry burn then reassemble.

When I reassemble, I put the bottom on feeding the cup into the steel tube, then I seat the silicone plug in from the top and tap it down as if it was just an original E2. Experiment and find what works best for you. If you've got a 3ml syringe around, the plunger makes a good ram rod for tapping the silicone plug into place. I use BDs, but if I remember, Monojects are a little large.

Not annoying at all Issac.... that's why we are all here..

Well, in that case here's another question(s):

Just ordered these (5pack) C-E2 510 XL Cartomizer 3.1 Ohm , is there anything else I need to get in order to be able to use the Map Tank upon arrival?

- thanks again.. off 2 eat some pizza :)

You'll want a pipe cutter to remove the CE2's outer casing. There is also a vid on Youtube showing how to remove the outer casing by bending the casing near the connector, effectively breaking the crimp seal between the tube/casing and connector.
You will also want a syringe to add/remove juice. I find that the easiest. Just my $.02.

The reason I asked about your battery connection is because you can re-fit a XL/E2-808 into a MAP Tank they work fine.
The Map dose not come with that as a option when you buy one, but they can be changed out.

And if your battery uses a 510 connection you can get a 510-901 KR808D1 adapter....... I use the 510's 2.5 ohm and 808 2.5 ohm's/ with the 510-901 adapter on my eGo battery! I hope that doesn't confuse you more... It's just some options so when Bruce doesn't have the 510's in stock you can still get the XL KR808's to have in your bag!

nah I understand... you can get the adapter so that one can use a 808 carto on a 510 connection.. mucho comprende!!
Any preferences for a drip tip? .. Seems most are about the same price, some a dollar more (Metal vs Swirl etc etc etc).

Anyone have the link for how to use the pipe cutter to strip the carto?

Let the video buffer and watch at 11:50 mins..He xplains on how to cut the carto! Hell, watch the entire video because Bruce explains all about the MapTank on this video. Also - he makes it look very easy to take the CE2 out wich mine does not come out that easy... I even twisted off the top of an old eGo battery trying the way Bruce did.... be careful!!!!

Enjoy your map!

Sewkitty, are you gonna MAP your Darwin? I think I'm gonna, except it might look like a bad science experiment gone wrong:vapor:

Oh yeah, man. I'm gonna VapeMate and CE2 it too. And, for sure it's going to take a bit of panache to fire up the resultant science experiment in public. The mini MAP shouldn't look too bad...relatively speaking...
