I just about missed this one too.... I was sitting here calling parents about failing grades and missed the email notification. Bruce - thank you for putting these up for us regular working stiffs... never could get home quick enough to catch them in stock! Definitly looking forward to trying this out.
Good news and bad news.
Good news: Got my MAP Tank!!!!
Bad news: I think it's DOA. I filled the tank using the small holes and a syringe (no easy feat with 100% VG!), threw it on my GGTS...nothing. Tried it on an eGo, still nothing. I tested both mods with a normal 510 atty and they fire.
Any ideas? Is there something I'm missing when it comes to setting it up for first time use? Anyway to resurect this thing if the carto is dead?

With the cart attached to a battery, unscrew it a turn, push on the ceramic cup gently to push the positive connection down just a little. This may be the problem. Hope this helps.
Try lifting up on the center post battery end connector so it's above the fitting just a hair. I believe some get pushed down to far when they are put together.

hmm...need a syringe to fill this thing eh? didn't even think about that when i ordered it. any suggestions on filling it through other methods?
You can carefully remove the top grommet fill to below the cermic cup replece top grommet. would be the only other way. Be careful good luck
thanks for the tip floridamale! sounds alittle like i might screw something up doing that though. I might be able to get my hands on a syringe from the medics. but it most likely won't be blunted, would that be an issue? my MAP tank is still in the mail, so i haven't had the chance to check the thing out. i just want to be ready to put it to use when it arrives.
You should be able to get a syringe at a local WallGreens or Walmart or a farmers supply store. The ones the medics use should work also. The other thing is to replace the inside coil when it burms out or for cleaning you are going to have to open it up anyways so it is something you have to know how to do. Good Luck

Hey guys, I looked at this today. I don't understand what the center post battery end connector is. This is the first time I've ever touched a cartomizer and not familiar with the lingo in your and Stormy's posts. Anyway to explain this in layman's terms?
So frustrated to have this MAP Tank full of juice and I can't use it. Hoping I hear back from Bruce, I left him a voicemail a few days back but I haven't heard back yet.

The MAP Tank has a center post looking from the bottom its the silver piece in the center of the grommet. There are threads on the outside that screw into your device. In the center of that there is a piece with a hole in the center and what looks like a slot in it, that is the piece that you need to make sure is just slightly above the threads. That is the part that connects to the battey and provides you with power. It can become seated to far into the connector and just lifting it a little will re-connect your MAP. I hope this helps

Ok, I understand the centerpost now. Only confused on what above that threads means, right now it's perfectly flush with the battery connector, neither in nor out.
Try to move it up just above them I had this same problem on my Tekkeon mod and that handled it. just be careful you don't need much contact. If you can catch your nail on it you should be good

How would you recomend getting it out more? I'm worried about poking something into the top part and ruining the coil. Should I remove that metal ring on the top and maybe push down a pencil (eraser end)?

Just get someing thin & pointed and lift it from around the edge on the bottom of the connection the part that screws in. Just sightly prye up on it, there is nothing there to hurt.
If this dosent work then get a amp meter and check the ohm's if you get a reading the C2 is good if not its bad and needs to be changed out for a new one

On an E2 the coil is at the top so you don't have to worry at all. Just use a paper clip or safety pin and pull it out a little bit (1/16th").
