Yep I look through the littlemachenshop site all the time.

My next project is a metal model. Can not wait to get in to them.
Kits: Model Kits - LittleMachineShop.com

Nice score on the SB I should have looked around but Grizzly is just down the street and hard to beet if something goes wrong with it. Plus I don't pay shipping so it saves ma a bunch.
Rub it in I don't pay shipping slippery ______

I can't stress enough how much I love this Chalice atomizer. With a so-so coil its up there as the best vape ever compared to a Cisco, HH, or iken atty. With a great coil assembly it blows everything else away.

I'm off today to get some atty making supplies.

I need some new scissors a pair of good tweezers and one of those light up magnifiers on a swivel base they sell at my hobby store. I'm tempted to get one of those third hand thingys they use for crafts as well. I've also seen them used for making fly fishing lures.

vape on!

+1, hands-down the best vape I've ever had. And it is the cleanest atty I've had, too, in terms of the catch-cup staying dry. Can't wait to try it on the VV Grand! I have one of those lighted magnifying glasses on a goose-neck stand, very handy. Also the atty resistance tester is really convenient.

Anyone have word on availability? Looks like a win !

Sig goes: Mwaah!

The Mark Bugs website says they hope to have more produced for sale in October.
Never waited for any of their products before so not sure how accurate that is.
I know other ecig suppliers that if they say October that means Feb 2013 :D

So I'm just going to enjoy the hell out of the 1 I was lucky enough to get and wait impatiently for a couple more.

In case people need a tutorial on exactly how to setup the coil and wick, with a great review, igetcha69 does an excellent job here.

I am definitely going to invest in this with a vv Reo Grand!

Yep he does it just right in that video. Everyone should cross the coil/wick so its over the hole.

For some reason when the chalice arrived the crap coil that came on it was on the same side of both posts so the juice didn't hit it well.

There are also many people that do crazy designs with the wick to get extra in there.

I made one with a 1/2 inch tail that came out between wrap 2 and 3 of the coil and tucked it under the coil right over the juice pipe. It worked but didn't seem to add any benefit for the extra work.

I think I could make and change a coil setup in 90 seconds if I were racing someone :D

For anyone that thinks they can't do it I would say its really really easy to get a great vape with this atomizer.

If it weren't for making the coil (and the price) I would have to say this would be the best atomizer out there for novice squonkers as well. You cannot flood it and its pretty much fool proof to use .... and the catch cup is always dry .....

Its Win win win in my book.

Glad your enjoying yours ..... its heaven on the VV Grand, mine has spend 90% of its time on top of my VVG. The other 10% its been on my VV Woodvil. I've only screwed it on my non VV REOs to test it for fit.

The atty Ω tester would be nice, I've only tested a couple of my coils with my meter. The last couple I've just thrown on and dialed in the voltage to taste. Maybe I'll pick one of those up for convenience though. Can never have too many vape toys right :D

Interesting! Where did you get your adapter? I may have to get one in case I want to try it on my Mini. But I am finally getting used to the silent squonk ;-)

I got my adapter from GotVapes. I use it for my Chalice on all my other bottom feeders., I even prefer to use it on my Grand.

Does anyone here have both a Chalice and a BF ERA?
I have an ERA coming from a Co op, and was wondering how the two compare.
I aplogize if this has been discussed, but I really don't have time to read every post. Thanks.

I got them both.

My 2c :)

ERA little smaller in side making it a tad more difficult to build a wick set up but with the o rings allows you to adjust the air flow across the wick. The draw is about the same maybe a bit looser.

Oh don't pull on the DT of the ERA with out holding on to the top cap of the ERA it will pull off. LOL Trust me I have done this. :)

Challis is a better fit and finish and is a work of art on that aspect. A little easier to build wick set up being there is a little more room. Draw is a little tighter then the ERA but not much.

Hope that helps :)

i've got 2 chalice I and 2 chalice II, both in satin and polished. 1 i'm using a vertical mesh wick. 1 a silicon wick. 1 mesh/ silicon through the middle. 1 waiting to be picked up at friends house. these little atty's rock. only downside is on the mesh wick, you do need to squonk more frequently. tried the cotton, but prefer the silicon at this moment. i was exclusively using ava's on all my vv bottom feeders(best tasteing disposable atty's, they have lasted me for over 4 months and still perform flawlessly, so i don't know if i would call them disposable especially at 40+ a pop), but they are in retirement since i received my chalice's.

Hello tsafur - I am pretty sure you mean "silica" wick, not silicon. Silicone is the rubbery stuff that is used for gaskets and such. High silica is a glass material used for glass fiber.

Why are you using the mesh wick vertical? There is no tank to draw liquid from, you could just put it in a horizontal position and would not have to care about hotspots because of long free wire stretches.

I didn't try mesh on the chalice yet, I like how it performs with conventional wick, but I guess I will have to do it one of these days =)

Cheers

Chris

WTH?? i guess i shouldn't post when i'm out of town at 3:30 in the morning.

i meant silica. the vertical one gets direct juice flow, since some of the wick is stuffed through the feed hole. tried a horizontal, and the vertical works much better. no hot spots at all. when i squonk, it's like a ejuice fountain out of the hole on the top of the mesh wick...haha
