So, as an ex-Marlboro Red smoker that was on the points list way back when and then it turned to coupons...I still get the coupons.

I've been giving the coupons to buddies at work since I'm now a vaper (Aug 2013)

So, I get this coupon for the MarkTen Wednesday and on the way to work this morning I hit the gas station and get my free "sample". OH MY GOD !!!! that thing SUCKED !!!
It's a cig-a-like that is rechargeable and take cartomizers....very much like the Blu. It comes in red (regular) or green (menthol)....after about 5-6 drags for a real sample, I couldn't take it any more and it went on the console until I got to work where it met the trash can where it belonged.

I'm just passing this along as a warning....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ! :(

It totally does suck. I'm totally disappointed by big tobacco's first e-cigs. The vuse and mark10 are even worse than the first e-cigs I tried in 2009. It's really sad they couldn't even at least match the performance of a good cigalike for example the rebranded 808's such as smokeless image or bloog. I'm not anti big tobacco because they was only providing what people wanted. I don't want to smoke so they need to change to get my business. If enough people make the switch they'll have to change to survive. I think the mark10 and vuse was a stunt and not a real effort obviously. I think they was just gauging the market to see if it was time to make a serious attempt at an e-cig. Big tobacco rather we like them or not has a lot of money they could dump into developing a personal vaporizer. The only question they have is when does it make sense to do that. When will the R&D money be recouped fast enough to justify spending it on a new product? Of course they are going to fight e-cigs because they are competition, but at some point it's going to be we better join them if we can't beat them. All signs are pointing to they are going to have to join us to survive. With the money they have available they may hold out and skip the R&D and try to buy out a stand out e-cig manufacturer. Either way they are going to survive we might as well get used to that fact. The important thing is that we vote with our wallet and buy the best products no matter who offers them.

S.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ! :(

I respectfully disagree.

I keep markten, white clouds and a few others around for power outages, etc.

and to use when I'm on a hike or wedding or somewhere I don't want to drag something better around.

I thought the markten menthol was good....25mg nic.......tasted minty rather than menthol. I HATED the NJOYs. :(

Disposables ....it is what it is. They have a place.

If only to get people who smoke to at least *try* something else. Stocking stuffers, etc.

Actually, the blu Plus+ tank system is pretty good. While the regular blu cartomizers felt like trying the drink a thick milkshake with a straw, the draw, throat hit and vapor production of the Plus+ closely replicates analogs. The taste could use some improvement though. They were the ones to successfully allow me to quit analogs altogether. The only downside is the cost. $15 for three tanks, and with me going through 2 tanks a day, it becomes cost prohibitive. That is what prompted me to upgrade and delve into filling my own tanks.

I received my coupon for my free mark 10 about two months ago. It was ok, but I was not impressed. It did get me curious, so I decided to pickup and a Blu disposable. enough so that I picked up one of the Blu Plus kits. That was when I had my last analog. After two-ish weeks with Blu and joining this forum I upgraded and got my 1st mod and tank. The irony in all this is that I no longer smoke marlboro lights and that the mark 10 started my journey to vaping and no longer giving money to BT. Quiting smoking was never the plan or motivation... it just happened. :)

That's cool, Alawot.

well, see, the amount of stories on this forum that I've read, a lot of people who were "vape curious" STARTED OUT with a Blu or something like that. And indeed, I've run across many people who actually quit smoking using them.

They had already quit before they upgraded.

I truly do not understand the constant bashing that small factor and disposables get by some people who have to keep bringing it up on vaping forums, as if they are too far above those.......when so many "man in the street" regular people FIND THEIR WAY TO VAPING by precisely using these gadgets. :)

I don't care how people find vaping.......all the products out there that help anybody quit smoking are things I support. :vapor:

I had gotten the coupon for the free Mark Ten starter and then a week later got the coupon for the free refills. Then I started checking it out online and saw the negative reviews and decided to go with blu Plus. Earlier this week, Mark Ten sent me another coupon for another package of refills.

If it was possible to get the capability that I am getting now with my current set up, but in a stealth cig form factor, I would be in nirvana.

Same for me i was in a walgreens and knew is was headed to a job where i would be stuck inside for 4-5 hours and on a whim picked up a blu then bought a v2 set still sitting here too.

After some searching i found an ego and the rest is history.

So they all have a place if it snags just 1 out of 10 to look for more options i believed it did its job.
