Hello my friends. I just bought an ijoy maxo and and i have 2 types of baterries for It 3 LG hg2 and 3 Sony vtc5. LG are 3000mah and 20amps discharge current and the Sony are 2600mah and 30amps discharge. The mod is dual or quad 18650. May i add a LG but not hg2 when i use the lgs and a Sanyo when i use the Sony? Could this damage the mod?

If using unmatched batteries they will drain unevenly and in a worse case scenario you'll have a potentially catastrophic battery failure. That'll definitely damage the mod and might injure you. Use matched batteries of the same brand and model, that have been bought together, and always discharged and charged together. You can't simply add a battery to a set that has already been used.

It's not recommneded to mix batteries like that. If the ones you have are fairly new then buy a fourth of the same type and carefully them out.
Just an FYI....Sony VTC5's are 20A batteries.
The incorrect, but oft-quoted, 30A rating comes from a misreading of the datasheet.
