My solution to keep things straight is I immediately test new batteries for capacity and resistance, remove the origional wrapping and write those numbers as well as a name and a 1 or 2 to define the marriage, then terrapin the whole thing with a clear wrapper.

well, i have 6x LG 18650 hG2, for wismec RX gen3,
4x LG 18650 hG2 for aegis legend, 2x samgung 25 R, will be used for asmodus colossal, 2x LG 18650 hG2 used for aegis solo, and 2x MJXO + 1 AWT and 1 anarchist 18650's, used for my mech, this last ones are the newer ones, used for it due security reasons,
the 6x 18650's for wismec are wearing super heroes wraps, the ones for aegis legend are wearing skull wraps, the ones for colossal are wearing deadpool wraps, the ones for aegis are using marvel wraps and the ones for the mech are using stock wraps, they are quite new to screw mint condition wraps, i like to keep'em separated, some of the batteries for legend mod were past mech batteries that i didnt endure that much, they charge and discharge pretty equal on this mod, tested all 4 during 2 weeks...

Battery marriage is related too much about the usage of the batteries, if they were working together mostly the same, discharge and charge under the CDR (Continuous discharge rate) and recharged with a quality charger they should perform great when working on single batt mods.

My batteries are not catholic they are members of the holy church of the flying spaghetti monster.

I like, have to make sure I remove their colander hats before I put them in.

I ALSO LOVE that some dude legitimately got that registered on his driver's license, and has a colander on his head. I do worry about what might happen if he were pulled over... But not enough to NOT love it.

I have no clue what CDR is lol.
They're all good batteries and I have a good external charger. 1 pair doesn't charge the same, the rest charge in the same time as its pair. Should I just dedicate the pair that doesn't charge together and use them individually?

Can you please give us a bit more information about what 'doesn't charge the same' means?

The more detail you can give here, the better.

For me at least, this will probably be significant :)

One battery of the pair will be fully charged and the other will only be 75% Then once both are charged 100% one battery will go down to 75% while the other still reads 100%.

And that's the way it should be done, except that I don't remove the original wrapper. I label them with date of purchase, cell brand, and type using a Brother 1/4" tape label. Over time the original info printing rubs off. Then, you only know it's a green cell or a pink one.

I've used clear shrink wrap on some cells, but not all mods have enough room for an overwrap and I hate to remove the original wrap. I'd really like to find a source that supplies really thin clear shrink tubing. Most of what I've bought from the major battery dealers was designed for flashlights that have more clearance than some ecig mods.

The more I think about it the more I agree that the original wrap should be removed before installing the new wrap. After all, it only has nr18650 on it and that wears off quickly.

If that happens over a few days after charging without being used, it's probably high internal resistance slowly discharging the cell. If the voltage drop occurs while being used in a mod I'd recycle that cell. Either way, I'd buy a new pair and mark them to keep them paired together.

Sorry for the late reply @Anise.

The battery that charges slowly and looses voltage fast is much more worn down than the other. I would never use these two together in a dual battery mod. That's just way too much difference in capacity for my comfort level.
