massive vapor production. I don't get it.

As I go through forums reading and still trying to learn. The big 3 of vaporing seem to be throat hit, taste and vapor production. I primarily took up vaping because of the artificial high cost of ciggerates. To me $5 a pack is unaffordable and crazy. I learned to happily smoke 305 an off brand untill they increased the taxes on them over doubling the price

So Im really just trying to replace ciggerates affordable. Yes after a week and a half I do feel better. Throat hits I understand I want my nicotine fix. Taste, well honestly that is a big plus but hey I smoked off brand, not exactly the most tastie thing but then is any ciggerate good tasting? Just switch brands and it takes a bit for it to taste good. Taste though I can understand

Now vapor production I still don't get. My vapor king produces what I think is as much vapor as a normal ciggerate produces smoke. Fact Im thinking of making a special mix with little or no pg or vg in it for stealth smoking in public. NO smoke no fire kinda thing to keep the natives from getting restless on me.

I smoked cigars at times and sure thats fun to make alot of smoke. Taste is more important in cigars then cigarettes. But I'm not replacing cigars I'm replacing ciggerates. So if you take a draw on an e-ciggerate and you get your throat hit, it tastes good what is the add'd draw of massive vapor production past what a analog would produce in smoke?

Yeah, I also look at the enormous clouds of vapor as a novelty, and certainly useless if you're trying to be discreet. But there's a certain level of vapor production that probably reinforces the psychological aspect of an e-cig, and some folks enjoy playing with the "smoke". I get more than enough with either my VK or my Bartleby.

taste and vapors are important to me. i'm really getting into the fruity tastes. as for vapor, its a visual thing - i like seeing lots of vapor to make it look like i'm smoking. i smoked marlboro ultra lights for a few years, and lights before that, and reds before that. i like the smoke :) even with e-cigs, i still like seeing that smoke. i'll sacrifice TH for vapor :)

I agree. I've always wondered why folks expect so much more vapor from a drag on an e-cig than you get from a drag on a cigarette. I've also wondered if more vapor = using more juice per drag = less cost effective. You can get more vapor from taking more drags before exhaling so obviously that uses more juice. VG increase vapor, but does it do that by vaporizing more juice per drag? Some V4L flavors produce more juice so it seems like something in the recipe is acting like VG does... does that vaporize juice faster? Just wondering.

The cigarettes I used to smoke had very little visible smoke from the tip, or from exhale. I got a platinum e-cig so it wouldn't look like a cigarette, and I'd rather not exhale gaseous clouds. I don't want it to look like I'm smoking at all. I think perception is everything with non-smokers, and if it looks like I'm smoking, then to them, I am smoking.

I really feel that way and so far no one has explained to me how more vapor makes for a better experience except for the mental aspect. Maybe some day I'll branch out into a Mod that makes ton of vapor. But really if I feel that need I'll probable break out Belinda cigar I've squirreled away in lil humidor for a long time now and make some serious smoke

MMmmm Belinda Black or the EMS are good sticks but on top it's aged!
Got Plume?

The Blacks. I'm not a cigar guy really but I got a lot of these through a friend of a friend that owned a cigar shop. That is one thing I am waiting for my sense of taste to improve. I smoked these during a time I had quite smoking.

Im a newb but i cant believe nobody has mentioned this in the 2 pages of comments.

Vapor is extremely important to your vaping experience. More so than i believe many people realize. VAPOR is the medium used in vaping that delivers our NICOTINE and FLAVOR. If you have little vapor then you get little nicotine. Its just that simple. So the more vapor you have the more nicotine you will receive and that in turn cures your nicotine itch and satisfies you and keeps you away from analogs. If you are vaping constantly and all day then this is something you need to examine.

I need my vapor. I love it, I couldn't care less about the throat hit, in fact, I don't care for throat hit at all. I like it smooth, flavorful and smokey. The VK puts out enough vapor for me with most of the cartos, but if I get one that isn't producing much, then, the experience leaves me feeling kind of flat and definitely unsatisfied. Like Jebey29 said, vapor is how the nic is delivered and the more vapor, the more nic you get.

If I vape around people, I hold it in so the vapor doesn't come out and even then, it feels like a big part of the experience is missing for me and I am sure that part of it is purely psychological on my part. But at least I am able to satisfy my nic need that way, so it's all good for what it is. I don't flaunt my ecig in public unless I'm around smokers, it's always a great ice breaker to hand out some V4L cards.

I can understand flavor maybe but when I vape 36 man I have to be careful or I'm nic'd out in no time the amount of vapor doesn't matter. I suppose I could vape 18mg in a huge cloud, get twice as much and it would equal that. Alot of posts I read people say this brand (insert what ever brand here} gives great vapor but throat hits are weak or taste isnt so good.
