9 wraps on 2mm bit would give about 1.3 to 1.5 ohms as far as I remember. Been a couple of months since I recoiled, and I usually stick to 1.5mm bits.

As for dual coils, it would be half the resistance.

I would suggest to anyone just starting out to try their hands at a single coil first. Take some time perfecting it to your liking before going into twisted, zippered, tin man, dragon, etc coils. (hype in my opinion, but I'm not one for clouds or flavor)

Secondly, start with a higher gauge wire like 30 or 32. It's softer and a bit more difficult to work with. Why start with it then? Because it would be easier to work with 28awg after you've perfected 30awg or 32awg. Ask those who started coiling with 28awg to work with 32awg and they'll be cussing and swearing cause they're too used to thicker wires.

what build would you suggest if I do not want to go below 1 ohm? and does dual coiling (I use a magma rda clone) cause ohm readings to change or is this purely dependent on gauge of wire, number of twists etc.?
Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

this is simply great imo, ohm predictions is as accurate but just double check to be safe and for any RDA's, is best suit for sub-ohmin, anything below 1.0 to bring out the capabilities and performance:2c: :)

If you are using it on a vv mod it would be best that you take a rough guide, build it and check the resistance on the ecig/mod itself as most come with the tester built in, why I feel it's better to test it on the mod because well you're using that mod to vape right? Unless you're using a mech mod then I would suggest getting a ohm meter. Cheers!

I guess it's the wrapping part that got you right, I had trouble doing it one shot as well, have to go really slowly at the start a little by little and in some tutorials they show that you should start the wrapping the first few wrap to get it going although I prefer not to.

11.30pm... Decided that I shall try do wrapping 30 gauge flat kanthal wire over two strand twisted 28 gauge kanthal.. Dual coil set up with 8 wraps each on a 2mm screw driver reading at .4 ohms. This is done on the plume veil sitting on sigelei 100 w. Cheers!

The secret to starting a good Clapton is how you hold the wires as you run the drill. Start off hand wrapping about 5 wraps. Then, what works for me is to start out with the outer wire tail facing down, tightly pinch both wires between thumb and finger..... If you punch tight enough, it will keep the outer wire from doubling over itself, and pushes your fingers out as it coils.....
