I've been watching updates. It's going to get nasty here for the next 3 days. I believe emergency operations are at level 2 and will be at level 1 in the morning. Hurricane shelters are opening at 7am tomorrow morning and the fire departments are giving out sandbags. Nice to know that all of the shelters here are pet friendly.
I'm mostly worried about some of my friends. I have a few friends that work for Pizza Hut and they don't close like ever. Of course people don't want to go out for food during a hurricane, so they order pizza. The weather can get pretty nasty for driving with the high winds, and then people won't even tip the drivers.

Me too. I'm just glad hubby's work has already recognized what's coming. They sent out e-mails a few days ago saying they just needed a phone call or email from anyone being evacuated and everything would be handled.
We're stocked up on everything and don't have to go anywhere until the end of the weekend. We should be good. Didn't think to get gas while we were out today, but from what I can see on facebook a lot of places are running out or have huge lines. We do have a bit left from the lawn mower, though, if we need it. Getting my vapes and batteries all charged now.
Dax has been eating fine for his last 3 meals, too. He's actually getting ready to shed for the first time with me, so he is definitely growing.
