One of the nice things being recognized as a professional by the IRS is I can call the preparer hotline, which connects directly to a live person rather than making you wait as you go through the "consumer" hotline menu.
That would be so handy! I use Turbo Tax and there have been times where I wanted to call and ask a question but it takes way too long to get a person on the phone. Unless it's something major I don't even bother.

No it shouldn't. The email said I need to submit payment within 24 hours or the order is void, yet there's no way to add more points! There's no way to do ANYTHING! I can't even cancel it and start over. So dumb. What will probably happen is the order will void tonight and the stuff I had on that order won't be on sale anymore, lol.
Grrrrrrr

He knows, though, right? I imagine it's really hard on him. :(
I sent a text...this is gonna be tough on him...first, his friend died...then, Tim died, now this...sigh. When Jim and I were dating, he got Max, Krystal and her sister Mary all together all the time...we did .... with all of us all the time

When the girls were in trouble, they came to us...when their mom left them for a weekend for some dude, we had them. When Krystal rebelled and her mom tossed her in psych lock up, I was her one phone call. She's since restored a relationship with her mom, but it's a seriously messed up family

That's just way too much for a kid to have to go through in such a short period of time. When you do talk to him, please let him know we are thinking of him, k? That's just awful. How cool that you and Jim were able to get them all together, though. What a great memory for them.

I know, huh! I remember you saying you would love a steampunk mod. It was apparently on Ebay at some point but the listing is gone now. It must be a one of a kind. So cool.

Oh that's cool! Mine is so that the school can access my records. It's some kind of acronym like that but I can't remember what. I know I had to store the number so I can access my federal stuff any time I need to. I know when I forgot it the first time it took an act of congress to get it straightened out, lol! I was unable to get into my tax information until the IRS got it cleared up for me.
I have one of the FAFSA pin's as well since I have kids in college. They need to fill out the FAFSA forms every year even though they are nowhere close to qualifying for financial aid.

Thanks, Lhattie, for walking across my keyboard. You know you are a dog, not a cat, right?

This is a reply to you, sissy. I was TRYING to say thank you for telling Max I sent him a hug. I hope he felt it.
He said thank you-it was very sweet of you

Yeah I had to do it even though I knew I wouldn't qualify for anything but loans. They went off the income we had when my husband was still in North Dakota and I had a 10-year-long union position at the hospital. The school said it's just part of enrollment, even if you know you won't qualify.

Ugh, that's awful. It's just so wrong she has to have this happen after all she's been through. She sounds like a seriously tough lady! Her husband and remaining children are really lucky to have such a strong woman in their lives. I just hope she has the opportunity to really grieve. The strong ones always end up walking everyone else through their grief. :(

Well he needs one, too. I had to type yours but thank you for passing his on to him. How's he holding up?
Better than expected...he and Krystal haven't talked in a while, turns out. He won't go into details...but sounds like there could have been some kind of "difference of opinions" on something..hmmmm
