Might not even notice the extra speed. Time Warner upgraded us from 100 Mbps to 300 Mbps (which required me buying a new cable modem that supports the multiple downstream channels) and I honestly don't notice much of a difference. Well, the only thing I've noticed is now the boys don't complain about the other hogging up the bandwidth if one is downloading stuff while the other one is trying to game online.
I just read today that Comcast is going to start limiting household bandwidth on November 1st! If we go over a terabyte a month they are charging for th overage, up to an extra $200 a month. I'm FURIOUS. I did not sign up for that!!!! WTH is going on with these greedy corporations?

That is a huge overage charge. On the bright side, we have never gone over 400gb in a month so unless you are streaming and downloading stuff constantly, you should be fine.

Jake's dad does that alot. The first time he mentioned it was with...oh what was it called...one of the bionic desert flavors. I was like nahh, it tastes so good it can't smell bad.
Ok am i the only member here whos spouse gives them grief over their vape. My wife says it stinks for one, and apparently i had a cloud in the other room, even though i had a window open and a curtain blocking my door, smh

Yeah, apparently we are getting like 86mb now, but it's mostly about device handling, we have like 11 devices on the network and theres 4 devices running 24/7 so it was a battle. Jake setup the two bands separately, so we put all of papa's stuff on the 'slower' one.

I did do that last year but when they ran out they were out. :( Maybe if it's a huge hit this year they will reconsider! I plan to keep ordering it to help them decide. :D I got my new bottle today, just in time! :)
Hopefully it is a hit! I find that strange that they did not purchase more of what they needed to make more of it for you..

I hope so! I am online all day long, though, and Shaun games and streams a lot. I have a feeling we will come close, but I still can't navigate the interwebs efficiently today. i think there are still issues with the Dyn servers, or there is a new attack today. It's extremely frustrating. I want to see if I can find a monitor that will show me how much bandwidth I am using currently but I haven't been able to find anything because search is so slow it keeps timing out. I can't do a whole lot of things today. I hope this isn't a harbinger of things to come this holiday season. It's pretty scary.

It's a lot, but not for a household that is connected constantly. If you do a lot of streaming and gaming and you have multiple users it can add up quickly. Even if we don't use that much bandwidth now, it will happen eventualy. Remember when 256k was a lot of memory? Now computers come with a TB of storage.

They were still a very new company this time last year, so hopefully the success they have had since then will help them be more flexible this year, lol! I plan to stock up as much as I can this fall, though, just in case... :D

That's what I thought when I heard the news story, lol! They MUST be related!
She's gonna break the glass panes in the door one of these days...and then I will chase her down the street and pull her out by her braids... she'll never hear me coming, since she's on her phone the entire time she's driving .

Yeah I thought, that was the case. Spent a couple hours scavaging and pulling rings off everything I wasn't using and found one skinny enough. Actually sits flush now and everything. guess they just grabbed the wrong size at the factory or something cause it's always been a bit off. Clones eh lol
Try changing the o-rings?

Well hubby and I are on the internet at home pretty much all day. His work is done over the computer and he watches YouTube in between calls, then plays games when he is off. I am play games and watch YouTube all day as well, and that includes a few hours of Netflix each afternoon. Comcast does have a meter online that shows usage, at least it did for us even before they had a cap.

I am on my computer all day long. We also have a Roku-type box that is streaming Chinese and Korean programming, and when the boys are awake and at home, they are on their computers Skype'ing with their friends, gaming online, and downloading stuff. All this and we use less than 400 GB per month. It would be near impossible for us to go over 1 TB a month.

Even with an internet-connected TV? Okay, I feel a LITTLE better, but still. I can see this ending badly for the consumer. For the price I pay for Xfinity every month I am not okay with being limited, especially since I have been a steady customer for the past 14 years! It hacks me off that they are doing this.
