I really didn't need pie....but it was there...so I had some!

Easy pie
1 8oz cream cheese
1 small cool whip
4 tbsps sugar

Mix sugar and softened cream cheese until kinda smooth, add cool whip and put that :censored: in an Oreo pie crust! Bam! Easy Pie :D
I don't have room left...lol...Jim makes his cool whip/fruit cocktail/marshmallow concoction every Christmas, and I'm too full!

Watching Deadpool and I get a text from my dad saying George Michael has passed away. I posted to my facebook page and Ryan Reynolds holds up a Wham! UK album on the movie. Whut. RIP, George Michael. You will be missed. :(
It comes up again

Man, dinner was so good. Fried chicken, garlic shrimp, chicken fried rice, lumpia, pesto pasta, and sweet potato casserole. Also fresh baked cookies. Yum yum.

Also got to meet hubby's grandmother for the first time. She used to live out of state, but recently moved into a nursing home nearby. Was a little sad, though, because she has bad dementia and alzheimer's on top of not being able to walk well. Don't think she really even remembered who hubby was. :(

Then we spent the rest of the evening with a bunch of our friends so that was nice. :)

That sounds amazing!! I miss lumpia. I used to make banana lumpia on the regular. I hope hubby's grandma is what they call "pleasantly demented." That's the sweet part where they don't remember anything but they are happy anyway. It's so hard to watch brain deterioration. :(

She's very impatient and a bit demanding. They warned them that would be possible symptoms of it. She is diabetic, but she kept asking for chocolate and candy all day. Then she wanted coffee, and the whole time it was brewing she kept asking for it to be brought to her. She couldn't remember the cup was next to her once she got it. She also kept asking if it was time to go yet and wanted to go back to the nursing home for like 3 hours. She has basically reverted to being a child at this point. She still calls her son (hubby's dad) son, but she calls his wife "mom" because that's what she sees their kids doing. It was pretty heartbreaking, and I can't even imagine how bad it is for hubby's dad. :(

Oh, that's heartbreaking...I'm afraid of this happening to me...if I'm this cranky now, I can't bear to think how bad I'd get.

That's what I figured… LOL… A few of the contest on Facebook are for things I would never use, but would make a great gift if I could ever win anything
