I'll be honest, my doggy mommy skills aren't as nice as yours. If that was Nala, I woulda punted her rear all the way back onto the porch then beat her .... till she didn't come near me for awhile. Course, with Nala, all it takes for her to run from me for a couple hours is a good swat or two across the nose and a stern fussing. Giant baby, I swear.

I smacked her .... right after she released him. I probably should have smacked her .... more, but her face was like " I'm so sorry". She had regret all over her face. It's so hard for a husky to resist...Lol I dragged her all the way to the house....Of course she was walking...But I did pull her to the house. I was so furious....And I do not like disciplining when I am that mad. I truly wanted to punt her when I saw her with my Duddy in her mouth.
He was so scared. I held him in my arms delicately for a while. I think he is going to be alright. He is sore and stoved up though It will take him a few days to recover. I am worried about him. I just love that little quacker head. He is so funny. I actually thought about starting him a YouTube channel.... Because he cracks me up so much. The other day I went outside to check on the birds (I periodically do a head count several times a day.), and I did not see Duddy anywhere. So I went to Chipper's hiding area to see if he was bullying her. I heard him quack (male ducks don't really quack, they do but it sounds like they are hoarse in a way.), but i did not see him....Then I heard a tap tap noise. I turned around and here came Duddy running down the road right at me, quacking, his feet making a tap noise on the road, waddling like a .... as he was running, and his neck was stretched way up in the air. I lost it! It was hilarious! If i had that in slow motion I would die laughing!
To be honest....He gets away with so much because I love him. If I had a rooster that bullies my hens the way he does a couple of them...The rooster would have already been gone.
My side is ok. My hip is numb. Anytime I aggrevate that side injury the area around my hip bone goes numb. I think it is nerve damage maybe. My side thankfully has quit hurting though. Just the numbness.

Duddy with a few of the hens a couple of days ago. He cracks me up. If you guys knew him you would understand...Lol They were hanging out in the mud...So I put them some scratch feed on the rocks to peck at it has been so muddy here in certain areas from all the rain.

oh, and that's not their water bowl....Mya drug it out there...Lol She stole it months ago, and I found it out there the day I took that picture.

I carried a bunch of firewood in today, and as always I took the huskies with me. I shut the porch gate like I always do. I was carrying wood in and as I came back out I saw Mya's tail leaving the porch....I called her back but she kept going so I chased after her ( My duck and a few chickens were hanging out in front of the house). Chickens scattered, and I caught a glimpse of Mya chasing Duddy. I ran through the muddy yard (barefoot) yelling at Mya to stop. I got to her as she had Duddy in her mouth, and she finally dropped him after yelling her name right next to her. Duddy is still alive, but he is pretty stoved up. Poor lil guy. There was no blood, she ripped several feathers out (not too many but several. You cannot tell by looking at him). His right wing is stoved up. He is holding it slightly lower. He is drinking water. I just feel so bad. Mya has never escaped the porch when I am carrying wood in to attack like that. She has wanted Duddy since she first saw him though. This is Mya's second attack on Duddy. I was so mad at her....She tried to make up right after I came back from carrying Duddy out to the coup to keep him safe. I had to punish her some way so I ignored her for a couple hours.....She is so cute when she sucks up...She puts her ears down and tries to lick your cheek. I finally forgave her, and she was so excited to be friends again. It was just awful....Poor Duddy was so scared. My feet were gross after running through the yard after 2 weeks rain...Lol My side injury hurts from jumping the second set of steps to save Duddy. Lol

Yea, she escaped off the porch just to get Duddy. Zeus was so good , he did not even leave the porch throughout the entire event. I think Duddy will be ok, but I think it's going to take him a few days to get better.

I just did not have the heart to smack Mya more than once. She really cannot help her prey drive. Plus her lil face just broke my heart. I know she regretted it when she saw how upset I was.
When Hubby got home he was like "do you realize if Mya was a human she would be considered a murderer" ...Lol

When I was on the cruise ship....for a second I regretted that I wasn't still smoking since cigarettes were just $26 a carton in the duty free shop.

That's crazy. I think they are upward of $60 here now. My son is trying really hard with vaping. He did have a cigarette or 2 today and now he is coughing really bad. He has that nasty virus that's going around and he knows his cough is so much worse because of that. I really hope he sticks with it.

I struggled getting up this morning. I was just so sleepy. I woke up with Zeus snugging next to me. He is such a sweetheart. Hubby says that every morning he gets up for work Zeus instantly gets in his side of the bed and snugs up next to me.

Done and done. Microwaved a couple huge baked taters for dinner then flopped over in the bunk for 9hrs.
