Maybe I'll try atties again after all, after finally figuring out how to clean out primer taste.

I tried vaping a couple of years ago in an effort to quit smoking. I relapsed, and recently tried again. I had given up on atomizers, because no matter how hard I tried I could never get the primer taste out. A lot of people say just vape it until it goes away, but I just can't stand the taste that long. Cartomizers are better than they were two years ago, so I've been using Boge standard and Smoktech dual-coil cartomizers. Never had a primer taste, so just assumed I'd stick to cartos.

However, after looking to clean out some nasty flavors from some cartos I ran across a post suggesting using the $3 Walgreen's oral syringe to flush it out. The end fits perfectly on a carto, so you just boil some water and then flush water in and out of the carto, let it dry out. Worked great, no leftover flavors.

Figured I'd try this on my atomizers -- I had a bunch I had set aside -- and it completely cleared out the primer taste.

Just wanted to pass this along for those who have tried boiling, immersing in alcohol, etc with no luck, or just tried vape it out. This is the best $3 I've spent on vaping. My bottom feeder was little-used but apparently has a new lease on life. :smokie:

Yeah, I had read about atties without primer, but also had a bunch sitting around, and now having a reliable way to de-stink them allows me to take advantage of fire-sale items. I picked up two eGo kits... one standard and one eGo T. I bought them just b/c I wanted a couple more batteries and the full kits were on sale for about the same as individual batteries, ($34 for the kit, $3.50 shipping), with the bonus of ending up with 2 extra chargers. I figured I'd set the eGo atties aside... I'd never tried an eGo atty... but now that I cleaned them I'm digging them.
