I wasn't aware that I got the wrong story out there - I was posting from my phone or I would have linked to the post from MBV. I'm not bashing the company at all, just posting information about an extremely popular vendor's decision to pull several of their popular flavors due to potential health concerns. It is certainly their right to pull the juices - I would like to think they are doing it for the perceived safety of their customers, but I can certainly understand why they might have reservations from a legal standpoint.

I do hope other vendors will add a disclaimer to their cinnamon juices (they could even have customers acknowledge their awareness of the potential health concerns with cinnamon flavorings) instead of pulling them off the shelf. As an adult, I am willing to accept the potential consequences of enjoying the occasional cinnamon vape, just as I was willing to accept the consequences of smoking analogs for the better part of 20 years and just as I am willing to accept the myriad of potential consequences with a thousand other decisions I make throughout a normal day.

Apologies if in order I was not directing that at you specifically. I just
didn't want a bunch of rumors to get going without getting it straight from
the horse's mouth.

IN 4 YEARS OF VAPING, CINNAMON OIL BASED FLAVORS ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT MADE MY LUNGS FEEL SCORCHED…
Sorry for the caps…

so, I have avoided them period.

at any rate, this is a good move… a proactive move by them… I respect that…

now, anyone know about non-oil based cinnamon flavoring? same concerns?

I don't vape any oils at all. Even if you look at the Lorann flavorings and such, oils are defined as not safe for vaping.

Although other people do vape them with no problem, I prefer to be KIND to my already damaged lungs (from smoking)

I wonder if bobas bounty has cinnamon, I don't taste any though..........

I'm not sure if the potential danger lies with lung exposure or just absorption in general, but someone on the post from MBV indicated that the potential harm is to the growth of embryonic cells in our bodies. Someone linked the study above, but I wasn't able to get a whole lot out of it.

The study being done was on cells in a petrie dish. There are numerous other products out there that will damage and kill cells off in a petrie dish.

In regards to oils, NO oils should be vaped. Flavoring are typically synthetic and are not made from the actual plant material as are Pure Uncut Essential oils which are used in Aromatherapy. These are not to be vaped, but in Aromatherapy they are diluted with carrier oils so that their medicinal properties are used for benefit, not detriment.

This whole thing is turning out to be fear mongering and people just love to panic and cry wolf!

No apologies needed, but I appreciate the clarification. :) I certainly understand the desire to keep rumors to a minimum.

Mbv If you must then post a warning. Why are you so quick to fall prey to one flawed study. If I must I will order elsewhere. I can show you studies that the air we breathe causes cancer. That eggs are bad for you and good for you. The studies mean next to nothing until hundreds if them have been performed. You are mistaken to jump the gun on this. I kill more brain cells from a 6 pack of Heineken.

Natural cinnamon contains coumarin which is known to cause liver damage. I don't know anything about the flavoring that is used for juice but I would assume most of is synthetic and doesn't have coumarin but that is just a guess. Flavor extracts are another story. I stopped using it when I saw what does to plastic.

Well, since MBV Cinn Roll is my ADV and I dont really care for any of their other flavors, that pretty much does it for me with MBV. No real reason to patronize their site anymore. I really feel they caved in and went over the cliff based on a study that says it "might" cause issues. I don't care to be cut off from my favorite juice based on so little information and speculation. Just my opinion....Time to move on and find somewhere else to spend my $$$...must find a new ADV....

Only one kind of cinnamon has any substantial coumarin. That said I have no idea what cinnamon is being used in anyone's juices ;)
What is the difference between cinnamon and cassia?

You act like mbv did this just to spite you lol.
There's always some diacetyl juices out there that they aren't cutting you off of ;) for an adv you'd think of keeping a stock pile ;)

I just seen that they left Banana Foster up and a couple other that have cinnamon. Is it only certain cinnamon flavorings that is a concern or all of them and does somebody have a link to this study in question?

From what I've read throughout the forums, it's the cinnamon itself, so anything containing it most likely got pulled.

In what amounts?

Cinnamon flavoring in e-liquids melting plastic tanks is not because it is caustic, it's because of a chemical reaction between the flavoring and the plastic. There is no relationship between this and human consumption or inhalation.

I have a bunch of flavors with cinnamon on the way... in fact, tracking shows them at a sort facility. Hope I don't die from vaping them...
What makes you think you would die from vaping them?

Re-read my post...No, actually I didnt. But its almost like you are reacting like you have a personal stake in defending MBV even though what I said didnt amount in any way to an attack on them. I simply stated that since they eliminated my ADV I have no longer have any reason to do business with them. But I do think they made a knee jerk decision based on a study they dont even understand. I also said it was my opinion. And I do have a couple hundred ml stockpiled. Should suffice until i find somewhere else to buy my juice.
