Measurements and consitency

Hey folks.

Newish to DIY. Made 4 bottles of tobacco blends about a week ago and am about to go downstairs and try dripping them to see how my first whirl went.

One bottle is a 10ml. The other three were 5mls, when I decided that 10 was too much waste, as I expect to be tossing all four once I vomit.

Here's the things, dudes. How are you getting accurate measurements? I see a lot of 4%s and 2%s floating around here, but on a 5ml test bottle, your margin of error is minuscule. If you're using drops, the difference between 4 and 5 drops on a 50/50 batch is huge! And trying to measure pure VG from a syringe is about the most useless venture I've come across. The stuff is so thick, it coats the needle on the outside adding about 10 drops. There's got to be a more accurate method.

Has anyone tried a micro scale and gone the route of weight proportions?

I use 1ml syringes. I picked up about 50 of these on ebay for about 7$ shipped. I use the same 4 or 5 all the time though.

There are markings for each .1 ml. You dont even need a needle though i sometimes use one so I can see the syringe above an opague bottle.

Has anyone tried a micro scale and gone the route of weight proportions?

Yep. I bought a digital scale accurate to +-1 milligram for only $20 on amazon. Works great.

Syringes or plastic pipettes are a MUST - drops are just not accurate enough.

I use 1ml syringes that have major marks every 0.1ml and minor marks every 0.02ml.

any of you ever gone the route of pipette pumps with a glass pipette?

seen those on amazon i'd invest in them if i was told they work well
