I'll be keeping most of my mechanicals around for the inevitable day that that machines become sentient and attempt to destroy their creators.

Will probably want to have a working vape for when that happens.

We'll need to find a flavor that lets a cloud hide us from their infrared sensors.

why do people like poldiacs so much? is it the whole oldie but goodie thing?

I really like the button and how it locks. I casually put it in my pocket without thought. Compare that to a popular mod here where people improvise walking stick ferrules or flashlight holders to stop their mod from auto firing.
And it feels a quality, beautifully made piece of kit.

and since when do tube mods have pants?

    A fair point :)

When I started vaping it was about 3 weeks before I ended up with a mech. I will use nothing else, ever. I'd grown frustrated with the ego battery/clearo/Protank thing that I started out with, and one day I was in a vape store, and there... there in the case was a beautiful little mech, elegant, beautifully machined and simple. It called out to me, the way mechs will do when they like you and want to go home with you. "Buy me! Buy me! You know you want me! I know you love me!"

After being transfixed for a few minutes, and finding myself quite seduced I yanked out the plastic, bought it, and took it home. I did my homework thoroughly, did the learning curve, got a genny, some mesh and kanthal, and never looked back. Several mechs and gennies down the road I'm a very happy vaper.

Built like a tank. Easily weighs almost double my nemesis. The button is foolproof no springs, not much to wear out, always fires.
Customizable, different tubes pants shirts. Custom limited edition stuff too.
My brass one shows almost no voltage drop and hits like a beast. I regularly run batts down to 3.3 3.2 without thinking about it.

Classic good looks, everywhere i go someone wants to hold it.

Awesome support. Parts are always a click away if needed. Unlike many otger mods where your lucky if they even answer an email 6 mobths after you bought it.

Flawless machining. No crappy seams, rough threads, sloppy buttons

To me the greek mods rule.

These companies very rarely get complaints. Or bad reviews and ratings, serious craftsmenship compared to so much other junk out there.

The Poldiacs are some fine looking Devices. Digging that Bell-Cap. Really dresses up the KF quite nicely.
Impressive Rig ya hot there Thrasher.

Question, the Provari Crew call themselves the "Provarinati",
What do you Poldiac'ers callin yourselves?
Expecting to be Wowed now,,, As the Poldiac is sharper IMO ya gonna really have to out-shine their Moniker equally as much ;)

I was a strictly regulated tube/box mod man until 2 weeks ago. I hate having a big clumsy, clunky box in my hand, either at home or out and about. I had an old smpl clone, and stuck a kayfun on top. Loved the simplicity of it all.

I have now sold all my high end stab wood boxes, and have ordered and traded tons of ..... Glas Ti, Stab wood Mor Crann, fortune ss and even managed to snag a robusto.

I won't go back to regulated, I was/am tired of chips failing, paint chipping off mods and shoddy work by pinay modders.

Im almost certain that that was the case 18 months ago but there are lots of companies that are producing awesome products that have really stepped the industry up. although its all personal preference and I will agree that they are very stylish. but the kind of stylish that may appeal more to an older vaper imho. but im a huge mech fan so the more options and more people using them the better :)

First in to the Mech craze I bought different side fired ones. Not bad. Then, GTR clone. After light use it fried, a month or so ago. My PH22's work ok, but theydont give me the flashpoint of my Lavatube.

Much more a fan now of bottom button Mechs now then I was, more dependable, less can go wrong. Course I dont own a Podiac.

Still, not a Mech only person tho, but I use em once in a while, bang for buck, power there in a flash and dependability and durablility, nothing beats a Lavatube at least for me.

Even with Bottom buttons,,, Ya Get what Ya Pay for.
Unless it's a recessed Button (and then still prefer a Lock-Out equipped), not a Player on Bottom Button types. Loved my Stingray but eventually became too much of a PITA.
Plus they get tough on poor old pre-Arthritic (and generally Life-abused) Hands after awhile.

    Yup.

While I will readily admit many clones are wonderful.
Sometimes the real deal is hard to beat.
Vaporart makes the best buttons /mods hands down.
Tolerances in the fractions of a mm. If the tube seams are off they scrap it for the seconds bin

Vapourart, I know you know the difference. ;)

I love the Paps, it's my all-time favorite mod. It takes so little effort to press the button. It seems that few mods with recessed bottom buttons have locking mechanisms, which I really appreciate for safety purposes with the Paps v3. I'm looking forward to the Paps v4 - it will be a long week waiting for it to ship and for DHL to arrive.
