SO I've been using mechs exclusively for the last several months, and I like them a lot. But I recently got my Cloupor CNA30 mod from elev8 (orange) and I have some thoughts...

First off, the CNA seems to perform better at resistances higher than 1 ohm. My best performing coil has been a 28g dual 12 wrap on my magma that came to 1.1 ohms. It heats up fast and tastes great. Performs much better than the same build on a mech, I assume because a mech doesn't get to 30 watts on a coil of that resistance.

On the other hand, I have a dual 24g macro .3ohm build on a zenith V2, and it underperforms at 30 watts on the CNA. Again this makes sense, because that coil is pushing over 50 watts on my nemesis. Actually, this coil performs worse than the 1.1 ohm coil because that coil heats up so much faster.

Other thoughts: great form factor. Much better for slipping in a pocket and going out. Not all attys fit flush on the CNA... the magma being the worst culprit (a shame cause it's my favorite atty.) Oh, and it is VERY nice that the voltage doesn't go down as the battery dies. I have to adjust to every hit being full power, it's intense.

Mine is Batch 2, it fires from sleep without the extra button press, the battery indicator light is visible, fit and finish are good, although it's not really orange, more of a dark copper color. Mine does NOT go into stealth mode. Every time I push the button combo for stealth it just says "normal mode." I wish stealth worked but I waited forever for this thing and I am not sending it back.

Oh and I don't use my kayfun much anymore but I might now. It hits great at 30 watts on a 1 ohm build. Crazy throat hit.

Overall, it's awesome. It doesn't replace my mechs for builds under .5 ohms, but for everything else it does.

Is it regulated, so the you get the same hit 1st to last or does the performance fade with battery fade?

Try building larger, higher resistance coils, and watch the Cana mod shine!

I usually vape kayfuns, taifuns, and the like. And for a mech, I prefer them around .8-.9Ω and enjoy the hell out of them.

But I tried something different in my Expromizer for the Cana mod. I built a huge coil at 12 wraps, 26ga, 2.2mm coil ID for 1.6Ω. Cranked up to 20-25 watts, it blows anything I could build for a mech away in terms of vapor and flavor.

That same coil would fizzle on a mech.

Yeah, vaping is a little more complicated than plugging in ohms law.

Play around with quad coils, but put each side in series, so it's really just a dual coil and you can keep using high gauge wire.

and "parallel" builds (I hate that term)/dual wire coils are really becoming popular. I haven't decided if I like them more. I love the vape, but they make me change wick more often..surface area.

How would you build the quad coils so they're in series? And yeah, I've had the same experience with parallel coil builds...great vape, but I get like three hits before I need to redrip.

You start another coil with the same wire/don't cut it=series circuit...play around with it off you want.. but I do one set of series coils on each side.. so it's really a just a dual coil..check out diamond coils.

With dual wire builds, not so much re dripping, but wicks get gross fast with vg juice with them..

I'll give that a try tonight. Why do you think the larger coils work better on the Cana?

More surface area of the coil to your wick and juice and voltages above 4.

Only reason I throw sub ohms on my Cloupor is because I use them in my mechs still.

I had the same issue with my magma, but it was due to the center pin screw not being level. I fixed that by sanding it flat.

Re stealth mode: keep holding the button combo for a few more seconds after it says normal mode & it will then switch to stealth. ;)
