"Heat" can be somewhat suggestive. If you have a decent B&M near you that understands mods, it might be worth it for your peace of mind. It's really hard to say over the internet how "warm" something gets (without some sort of temperature measuring equipment, I guess) or whether it's a big issue or not something to worry about.
In your shoes, I'd travel to a trustworthy B&M if I had access to one. Etc.
