vaping for about 5 months now- using provaris now, with a Russian 91% and a Helios dripper. Im looking into getting a mech because I am building dual microcoils in my Helios, and I really dont like using 32g wire to make high enough res coils to get a dual coil to fire on the provari. Would prefer to use thicker wire and run say in the 0.8ohm area (1.6ohm x 2). Plus, I want to try the sub ohm craze out. Tried out others sub ohm setups and I like it.

(pre-emptive: Im aware of all the safety issues, im an electrical engineer and know my way around. :) )

Im looking for a mech mod that has the following:
  • Small... im used to provari minis and i want to stay as small as possible and use 18350's and 490's
  • Bottom firing, magnetic switch preferred. Trying out others i really like the tactile feel of this.
  • adjustable positive pin
  • Air control does not matter to me
  • Good quality, preferably not a clone, but not unobtainium either

Since Im new to mech's the choices i see out there are a little overwelming.

Suggestions? For now lets say price range doesnt matter. Not looking to spend a fortune for a "collectible" though, unless it is really deserving of the price due to quality.

Thanks!!

My first mech was a king clone from fast tech.
$26.
It stomps most mods under $200 into the dust.
You can get magnets to fit, but the king clone has a pretty simple switch that you don't have to fiddle with.
They are extremely well built.
Most say the HCigar ones are even better ($50+-) but I don't see much to improve on.

I think a Nemesis would be a great start. They are super small in 350 mode, yet are able to extend to handle kicked 650s. Very well made and relatively easy to find genuine ones as opposed to counterfeits.

I won't go into battery safety as it sounds as if you're aware of the science behind it.
