Okay so I got my iTaste V2 in the mail yesterday, and I'm not too impressed with it.
My previous battery put out more power and vapor than it does, although it may just need breaking in.
With my next paycheck coming in a few days, I've been researching mods to get (CLONES)
I'm looking at a Panzer Clone mech mod, or a Nemesis Clone. Wondering which would be better?
And what's the safest, most durable and efficient batteries to get for them?

Huh?!

Have no experience with either of the mechanical mods you mentioned but I heard nothing but people being very pleased with the nemesis clone.

For batteries, I currently use efest which I haven't had a problem with. I will be purchasing some authentic sony vtc 18650 batteries for a couple mech mods I have as the general consensus (from my research) is they are the best on the market today although a bit more expensive.

It is not the battery that is responsible for putting out the vapor. It's what you put on the battery.

What tank are you using on your battery?

I use my Aspire Nautilus usually.
Produces a great amount of vapor and flavor compared to my previously owned tanks (using my Vision Spinner battery somewhere around 4.5-4.8V)
But when I put it on my iTaste v2, I notice a drop in vapor production and flavor.

Of course I have ordered an Atomic RDA that I'm still waiting on.

Don't know why that would be if you adjusted your wattage/voltage.

However, just be aware that with a mech mod you will be vaping at between 3.7-4.2 volts with no ability to control it (without a kick).

Either of those clones will serve you well. Given that you ordered an Atomic- I'm inclined to suggest the Panzer, simply because they're a great combo and you get the continuity of brand. (Both are made my MCV)

Sony VTC4 and VTC5s are by far the best batteries for use in a mechanical mod. Regulated mods- that's another story. But for mechs, I don't recommend any battery except the Sonys.

This is true.

I'd take a nice stringray over a nemesis. I think the floating center pin of the stingray is super convenient and makes getting into mechs easier. I also prefer the magnetic swtich.

That said, I prefer recessed magnetic switches. In that camp, my Gnome clone is kicking some ....--amazing switch. If you want more size options, the Atomo clone is available with the very same switch. But you're going to have to fuss with the top cap a bit as you would with the nemesis.

Lastly I would suggest going stainless steel for your first mech. It's more durable and requires less maintenance. Once you figure out your game, you can dip into brass and copper.

I also think that you'd enjoy a kayfun light + clone over, say, a nautilus. RBA's + mechs are a very nice combo!

Out of those 2 mechs, I'd suggest the Nemesis over the panzer for your first one. Less fiddling and an actual adjustable 510 without modifying it. Hcigar is a good one.
Sony batteries are hard to beat. I've never believed that batteries are the wisest place to try and save a dollar.
The atomic is a nice Atty but its a little tricky to learn on. The posts are VERY close together so you have to be real careful not to create a short. I'd look into a TOBH or a tugboat as a first step. They're a bit more forgiving and you'll have a nice flush look.
Whatever you decide, please get an ohm checker or a multimeter and do a bit of research on battery safety.
