Mechanical Mod Choices

So, ive been vaping for a while and im looking to branch out and try new Mods. Currently My setup is a Tesla topped with anything from drips to tanks ( all built by me).

Im wanting to buy a mechanical mod to try. My question(s) are, whats a commonly used one? im not looking for highend just something priced right.

Also, which mods will accept a 18650 battery AND a kick?

speaking of kicks, is one better than the other?

The brass sentinel clone is a good mech and super cheap from fast tech. It's telescopic so it will work with any battery and kick if you want to use one.

I can't offer any advice on the kick, I've never used one.

Ok, my two cents. Most all mechanical mods are basically the same, complete the circuit design. Some are built better than others and what you pay for is not always what you get. Some you pay for the name and others the quality. Do some research on the web and view some You Tube reviews to get an idea of what everyone else things. When all is said and done the only one you need to satisfy is you. Go for what you thinks looks good and research them till you find one you are willing to spring for. In the mechanical arena it doesn't have to cost a lot to do the job, it's just what you are willing to spend or settle on.

As for kicks, don't use one if I wanted that I would get a chip/electronic mod. Maybe in the future I'll give one a go, never know. Hope this helps

thanks for the tips. Ive been looking them up on line and YouTube, but there are so many brands (like you said) and clones lol I have no idea where to start.

I just know that having alot of 18650 batts in would be nice to know that I can use them and also be able to use a 510 and ego connection. The kick was just something I Was throwing out there that looked interesting

I got one of these for my birthday the first of the month: EA clone by EHpro - Vape Toy , it works straight out of the box, no tinkering. I've been vaping for 4 years and have never found a reason to have variable any thing, so I can't help you with the kick. if your going to play with a kick chip it's best to get the real one they are built better and work a little different then the copies.
the kick 2 works great. Im running a kayfun at 1.8 ohms now on a kicked roller.
got a VV/VW crown2 to play with and it's pretty cool being able to adjust the settings without taking it out of the mod.

Yep... I've got 2 Smoks, a Sigelei and both evolvs 1 & 2... and I can safely say that the evolv 2 works more consistently and reliably than either of the "Kick clones", or even the original evolv for that matter... but perhaps I've worn down the evolv with constant swaping around.
No comment on the Crown other than at 1/2 the length of any kick, it's quite the nifty, and short, little regulator... and if Thrasher is happy with it, then it can't be all bad. ;-)

Perhaps some of the best made Chinese clone'ish mechs are the EhPro Caravela and Nzonic. EhPro is several steps above anything made by Sigelei, and although priced several steps above as well, are easily worth the sub $80 price of admission. Saying that, the Sigelei 8W Caravela clone has an exceptionally low voltage drop for a sub $30 mech.

The new Youde V10, that I have on order but not yet received, also looks to be very promising, but for now, is available only as a 18350.
