The Kicklet is kind of obsolete now that Nhaler has The Can $70.00 out now.It works almost like the Kicklet except you do not put a kick in it.It is a VW device that goes up to 12 watts and is placed on top of the mod like the Kicklet.
And it's frigging huge.
It's the same size as a ZAU. It is essentially a housed DNA12 with an external adjustment knob.
The kiklet is about the same price for just the kick housing, does not appear to be much smaller, requires you to be a kick to put in it and needs to be disassembled to be adjusted.
I understand what it is. It's a lot larger than adding a kick to something like a telescoping mod. The kick is about 15mm. The "Can" is quite a bit larger, as you said about the size of a ZAU -- and then you have to add an atty of some sort.
I mean look at the thing:

I consider that frigging huge.
what is the advantage of putting you kick on top rather than in the battery compartment?
I had a Can, I don't need to see a picture.
And again, I am comparing it to a Kiklet which you place a kick inside and screw on just like the can.
Like so
Not a placing a kick inside the actual battery tube.
I have to mea culpa here; I knew you were talking about the kicklet, but I honestly thought it was just an extension tube for the precise or a simple extension tube for compatible mods. Wow, that thing is huge as well. I'm not sure why it needs to be quite that large to house the kick, but with that huge 'drip well' I guess it makes sense.
Got it now. I'm just always seeking the shortest mod possible, so to me the 'can' looks downright silly compared to just buying a VV/VW mod.
I'm glad you don't use them anymore ! Ha ha. I got yours. But I am using Kick on my favorite mechanicals until some day they come out with the best Variable watt devices. I'm a stay home Vaporer anyway. But the Can is lighter weight than the kicklet and more pretty looking. I've got an all brass mechanical I out the kick inside. And this Can I got from you is for my Flair gold smoke with the Navy brass. I know it'll be almost the same size as my Flair! I got the 18500/18490 flair and it's not kick able. The Can can kick a bigger variety of mods.
As far as using a kick any "telescoping" mod will fit the bill. But most of the time they are designed to telescope to accept a 18650 in their extended mode, so if you want to kick it you have to run a smaller battery say an 18490/18500 or an 18350.
The EA on the other hand will work kicking any battery, it comes with an extra extended tube, so you can kick the 18650. Can't say enough about it. It also has a floating center pin so you can screw a tank down flush on the flat top has air flow channels machined in.
Of course you pay for all that, not a cheap mod.....but built like a tank.
I know several people here recommended the smoke natural. I had one....I hated it. Don't get me wrong nice little mod, great in 18350 mode. Nice and stealthy. And "ok" in 18650 mode...not terrible. But the collars when screwed together left a little tiny gap. But in 18490/18500 mode it absolutely wouldn't fit together properly. Yes it screwed together and would function but the threads on the tubes barely had enough to screw it down, left these big ugly gaps with the threads showing, just thought everything would fit together like it should so it looked as good in 18490 mode as it does in 18350 mode. Look if any out there has one and their happy with it great. But you can't argue that in 18490/18500 mode it's just bad, unless you like that look, but I bet that pieced together look isn't why you bought it, is it. Didn't work for me. Only owned it for two days and dumped it, went out and got the EA. VERY glad I did.
Sorry that turned into a little rant about the natural. But people should be aware of it because lots of folks buy on line without actually holding one. And good luck trying to find a review or pics that show it in 18490 mode "with batteries in it", showing how screwed up it looks that way. They hide the fact it doesn't really work like they say, and try to sell you this "sleek" little mod. And it is, but ONLY in 2 of the three configurations. Sorry again but that thing just ....well ...sorry
i appreciate that bit of honesty. looks liek im back to the old drawign board. i would indeed have liked to use it in 18490 mode to fit the kick. oh well. i just cant wrap my head around how folks are enjoying non-vv/vw. i desparetely want to enjoy an unregualted mod, but its hard. so many folks are enjoying them and i cant figure out why. my vmod is unregulated, ive got an RBA on there and it is great for the sweet spot of the battery life. but when its fully charged, its a bit too hot and when its anywhere below 3.7v, im rushing for the charger. is there some trick to enjoying an unregulated mod, or do i have to just convince myself that i like it and just get used to it?
