Same set up. Just different materials.
This has probably been covered, but are they fitted the same as the current repair kits in the video on reosmods?

I've interpreted it as mostly different materials, but could be wrong.

I don't sub ohm, but there are benefits anyway apparently

There fitted the same way as the current contacts . The only thing that has changed is the material of the contacts . There gold plated and the positive contact no longer comes to a point there is more surface area . The new push buttons are made of a high heat plastic that can handle a dead short I no this because I tested it

Sorry for the off topic question, but Maybe Rob can chime in with a quick answer...

Does the VVG use the same hot spring as the Grand? Meaning, if I were to drop a spring on my current Grand could I swap in a spring from a VVG that I might happen to have lying around? They look the same to me, but I want to make sure I would be getting the same protection.

Same spring in all the metal mods

Sorry if my earlier question led to confusion. The upgrade kit doesn't apply to the vvg at all, its only for mechanical grands.

I asked the question cause I needed a replacement spring for one of my grands and just happened to have a vvg that isn't being used right now. The grand and vvg happen to share the same battery spring, but that's where the similarity ends, at least in terms of the firing mechanism.

LOL, I've been emailing with Rob for several weeks now about the getting a Grand post upgrade. He's been great giving me updates along the way with his amazing customer service.

All this time I've felt a little special, like Rob knows I want to buy my first Reo but want to wait for them to be upgraded so I'll be all set once they release. Reading the updates here EVERYONE is in the same boat...lol. Now I'm afraid that if I wait for an upgraded mod I won't get one of the first batches and I'll have to wait longer longer longer. Probably best just to order one now and buy the upgrade once available and do it myself, could have done that weeks ago...sigh.

...........Same here, waiting for the upgrade to make my 1st Reo purchase. Just hoping that he'll have the LPs in various colors. Also hoping the Brass LP RM2s come into stock.

If there is some combo you want PM him. Half of my purchases have been done via PM for stuff that showed out of stock but he was able to ship me in a day or two.
