Ron, What are the buttons made of. Nothing has been said that I have seen in the thread about these. Mine keep melting.. lol
I can't find the quote but it's a different high heat resistant plastic. No melting.

Use an uncoloured (white) pencil eraser to remove the dirt and tarnish from the gold & finish off by removing the rubber "chaff" with a piece of soft cotton cloth
Some people use Deoxit
Don't for any reason use something abrasive on the contacts . I no there will be people that are going to do it and wish they hadn't .
I am sure there other methods for cleaning the contacts .I dont claim to be a master of contact cleaning I am sure I will learn more as we move down the road
The buttons are made of PolyEtherEther-Ketone melting buttons wont be a problem with the new contacts . I could have stuck with the delrin honestly but I wanted a button that could handle a hard short
