Sometimes one needs to use a small tiny piece of floss under the cap to make it a snug fit.. that's for the button.

Anyways.. I'm guessing your reo is a few years old and don't have the updated stainless steel adjustable 510 connection and newer button that won't melt doing real low sub ohms and newer gold plated positive contact and sub ohm gold spring.
No, the button came defective, it was not drilled out on the bottom side to fit over the original fire button.

Yeah, it is an older Reo that was given as a gift. The original owner did update the 510, not sure about the rest.

Ok first ive ever heard of that happening to a button :/ sorry to hear that. Should sell it as I'm sure someone would snatch it up quick.

My old friend Bad... how've you been mate? We've come a long way from boge cartos and tank collections, eh?

Bummer about the button but I'm a bit relieved. Impossible to believe a member who's helped hundreds if not thousands of folks with vaping related info wouldn't go to a subforum to ask a question concerning a loose button. No doubt, the reo has some quirks: stick floss under the button to make it tight, bend the door so it won't rattle... and I say that as a fan because I've been running the same exact reo for the past 4 years. At that time, I was running a provari and carto tanks so squonking was like manna from heaven and this thing has been a rock. It's been carried 365 days a year, multiple dings from drops on concrete at work and I just keep on vaping unless it hits wrong and snaps the drip tip off. It's even got the same voltage drop under load as the day I bought it cause I check it at the atmomizer post at every wick/battery change (yeah, I'm .... that way).
I would always dip my foot back in the non-squonk waters on occasion... sx mini, vtc, subohm tanks, etc. but run screaming back to bottom feeders after a day or two, lol.

But for a mechanical bf mod or even regulated bf, plenty of other options now and it looks like we are entering the golden age of squonking.

OP, if you're familiar and confident with mechs then the Athena and Pulse bf look like good options. I have both inbound myself. The driptech comes to mind but the jury is still out. For regulated the VT inbox or the Therion bf both use dna75, dna75c for the newer therion. I have the inbox and it's pretty nice for the price, an awesome vape running a fused clapton in the entheon but I doubt it could handle more that one or two concrete drops so I only vape it in route to work and then use a mech all night.

I just can't emphasize enough how much I love squonking... the ability to just pull the tip, give a slight squeeze and watch that juice flow in and totally saturate the wick. I haven't had a dry hit in almost 5 years and I don't even use temp control. Well maybe, the first week until I got my squonk skills on. Wish to check the condition of your coil, just pull the rda cap and look at it. I like that...

of course you might not and that's fine. It's an on/off, up/down, crest/trough existence and that's what makes to world go 'round.

cheers

There's no right or wrong answer, it's about what ticks all the boxes for each of us.

2018 will be the year of the regulated squonker

Some oddballs tossed in along the way, but I started out with mech tube mods, then did regulated tube mods, went back to mech tube mods again before the Reos moved into the lime light for a long time before I got into the TC mods for about 1.5 years after Reoville shut down, then went back to the Reos exclusively. During their early run as my top gear for vaping I acquired 35 Reos, upwards of 100 bf RDA's for them and they held the top shelf in my vaping tenure the longest so far in that at least some of them were in constant use for 40+ months before all of them and their atty's fell into the out of service gear boxes (and I turned in my Reonaut badge). Mesh type RDA's (that also brought back into use some of my dual series batt TC mods for the time being), dual parallel batt mech squonkers, regulated 20700 squonkers, and the ongoing fall of Reosmods/Reoville was the Reos demise. The mesh type RDA's on those types of mods is all I vape 99.9% of the time now days. As easy as it gets for my uses. So I'm enjoying this gear (and my DIY) more than with anything that came before them in going on 5 years of vaping.

I'm in the hunt to acquire more dual batt mech and regulated squonk mods, want to add dual series batt regulated squonkers, and in acquiring a bunch more mesh type RDA's. The mesh type RDA's and sqounk mods that can run them to my liking is my only game plan for the future.

Do you have a button cover for it? That was a game-changer for me - before getting one I had what I thought was gonna be a permanent dent in my thumb - LOL! The cover made it a lot more comfortable.

This made my REOs much more comfortable as well. Couldn’t agree more.

I suspect that “crazy sub ohm stuff” missed a decimal point there. Regulated mods work generally without issues above 0.1 ohm. It’s when you get below that that a mechanical (and a certain lack of common sense) is required.
Indeed. If anyone is vaping below 0.1Ω they deserve all they get imho....
