Seems we have much more in common than we originally thought. Now I just got to figure out how to mod Capt Kirk's communicator to a squonker and I'll be a happy camper :)

I just went thru the time line thread and watched some videos and looked at pictures from 2010, it sure is hard to believe how far Reosmods has come in the short four years. It seems like he's always trying to out do his last product that IMO is already flawless.

Also, saw how a few people on the forum got freebies as testers and others paid money to get some of his early prototypes that were currently in testing/production. He didn't even have a name for the woodvil at that point. People were calling it the wooden reo. Someone dubbed the name REO as he quoted, "I guest were calling these Reos." A guy named Clyde was one of the first to receive a wooden reo, he reviewed it and reviewed several others Rob sent him. Lucky guy...they chimed in and gave him some ideas that he may or may not have thought of. (Door magnets, different fire button, on off switch, etc.)

I'm curious to see what 2015 brings for reosmods, as we all know and anxiously await the arrival of the new woodvils and resin mods, I'm wondering if Rob has any other projects up his sleeve that he hasn't mentioned yet.

According to the time line, it appeared that the woodvil came first. I didn't see, (unless I skipped over it) when the metals came into play. Does anyone know if the wood or the metal came first?

Yes, the Original Wood REO was the first. That is what Clyde got!

Then the first metal was the Mini (14500) 9/24/2010

Then the Grand 11/12/2010, and last the Woodvil 2/1/2011
.

I'm so glad he decided to produce the grand, I think it's absolutely prefect. Size is comfortable, not bad on weight, fits my pocket nicely, I love the ability to carry 6ml of juice and the 18650 battery.

I'm excited about the new woodvils and can't wait to get my hands on one. It's right in time for my birthday also as long as he sticks to his plans. My DOB is 7 Feb.

I bought THIS Mini on the first REO metal run. Not the huge choice in options that metal REO have these days. :)

From a long time tradesmen and modder, the Reo Grand is one of the best engineered, functional, durable and dependable devices I've ever used/owned...at a very reasonable price point considering...

As far as I'm concerned it should entered into the Smithsonian :2c:

I could not agree more! It's the way forward no question!

I also believe it's where vaping should go (regarding bottom feeders in general)...and those that have found them know this, but for what ever reason there still seems to be a "traction" issue with the majority of vapers...ah well, their loss.

On another thread it's been suggested that the lack of reg.'d devises may be to blame...I'm personally a mech guy all the way but I have to respect that possibility.

Most of the tube mod guys I know, not all but most run beast coils that I don't think the metal reo mods could handle. To be honest I'm not so sure those tube mods are even meant to handle the coil builds they are using. It seems like they don't even care for flavor and are using them to see who can make the biggest cloud. There's two people I know that have dual coil setups and the builds are super low: one dudes is at .06 and the other persons is at .18. I wouldn't even try to do that in my reo, however I've been known to vape on a .2 for days and I know it's not meant for that. Lately, my target coil build has been between .4 and .8 ohms. I love the heat and flavor I get from the .2 ohm builds though.

...understandably Rob builds his devices for the 90 percentile who vape a reasonable coil resistance and provides excellent safety in doing so.

...the Grand certainly isn't limited to that performance with a few modifications...but that's for another thread...but it's because of it's "platform" construction that is only one of the reasons why it deserves praise.
