There is a PV for everyone out so whatever floats their boat. I have read all of snarky comments from both camps like BF box mods look like your sucking on a brick and metal tube mods look like your sucking on a pipe bomb. I'm in the brick camp. [emoji23]
Pipe bomb? Lol...it doesn't look like a pipe bomb to me![emoji2]

A few guys at work have made some disparaging remarks about the whole squonking concept. I just smile as they struggle with their endless dripping and leaking tanks.

New guy started last week. Cool dude and he was turning heads with his dripper/mech setup. On a vape break, a couple of the lads were standing with him and motioned over to me, saying "that guy has this wacky mod that he likes, but I don't know...". Cool guy takes one look and exclaims "Holy $#!%, that's... that's a reo!".

Cool guy vapes with me now.

That is funny, Papa_Lazarou!

I was at a vape shop yesterday. Walked in while the guy behind the counter was wrapping a Couple of coils for a customer. He did not do any checks, just mounted the coils on a Patriot and let the customer start vaping away. Fortunately, no harm was done to the customer or the device.

I had not brought out the Reo yet. The customer was quite content to blow, in his words, the biggest clouds, ever. No one had spoke to me, I get it, I am just an old derelict that looks mostly like my avatar. The young guys were very proud of themselves. Once the excitement had died down, I asked if this shop carried any juice that was max VG. The counter person said no, all their liquid was 50/50 and why would anyone want to vape a high VG.

At this point, I broke out the Reo from its belt clip, gave a squonk and did a rather large lung hit. After the cloud got waved out, all were amazed by the Reo, no one had ever heard of or seen one. I explained some of the details of the Reo and was told it was dangerous to go such a low sub ohm coil. This after watching someone build a set of coils without so much as a check to see if it was shorted.

When I told them I was using a dual coil that measured 0.7 ohms, BS was called. They told me I was lying. Out came a 100 watt box mod to measure my resistance which was right at 0.8 ohms. Now I am being offered money for my Reo. Price went to $200 and may have went higher but I had to explain I had no back up so no amount would get a sale. Nothing in this overpriced excuse for a vapor shop would be able to replace my Reo for my trip home. Being an old derelict, I only thought this.

I did lead them towards Reosmods.com, said "Happy Holidays" and left with a chuckle. Maybe I should have left with a,,, "Ho, Ho, Ho"

Most of the tube mod guys I know, not all but most run beast coils that I don't think the metal reo mods could handle. To be honest I'm not so sure those tube mods are even meant to handle the coil builds they are using. It seems like they don't even care for flavor and are using them to see who can make the biggest cloud. There's two people I know that have dual coil setups and the builds are super low: one dudes is at .06 and the other persons is at .18. I wouldn't even try to do that in my reo, however I've been known to vape on a .2 for days and I know it's not meant for that. Lately, my target coil build has been between .4 and .8 ohms. I love the heat and flavor I get from the .2 ohm builds though.

I am currently running .17 and lower. The supercharged REO is the best of the best!

I love those Vape Shops, bought my Woodvil with a RM2 from an owner who underestimated the magick he had. Went a little something like this:
Me: I really like those Woodvils
Him: I have one I don't use. I'm more into my mech mods.
Me: Oh, really
Him: I'll let you have for $150
Me: Sold, do you want cash?

A Woodvil/RDA for 150 bucks?...can't go wrong with that...

...question for Rob on these Resin Woodvils, are you casting a finished Woodvil in a silicon mold or are you going to individually machine resin blocks?...I assume that if you will be offering a transparent Woodvil (which I will most definitely be getting) it will have to be molded to avoid marring the surface with machining...but it that could also be polished out...just curious is all...if your process is cosmic top secret I understand :p

We are testing silicon molds yes definitely a transparent resin mod is in the works glow in the dark florescent all kinds of colors . We just took a nice burl that had holes in it and filled it with clear resin and milled it very cool stuff . The same block of wood would have been useless and now its awesome . The possibilities are endless

Love it Rob..who wouldn't want Enterprise as a logo? I really like the idea of buying my own mold but I'm up for the sick porkie kicked back with a Grand too.
I wouldn't be against a Dog Star either. ;)

I'll be in my usual place....just left of Orion's Belt in Canis Major...awaiting more resin news.
