The mod has 18 gauge copper wire in it attached to 1/8 inch brass plates she is sub ohm rated .

Connection of the battery's negative pole mainly

edit: Just had a closer look and Rob in using wire on the positive pole as well.

Just for your info a mechanical is a mod with no regulation and since wood isn't a conductor of electrical current he has to use wire. It's not an issue, all Woodvils are made in the same way. In fact this new one has a mechanical switch

I may be opening up a can of worms here but putting it out there.
Will we be able to send current woodies to the "spa" for upgrades to 510 connection, catch cup alteration, and new switch connection/buttonafter the sale?
Looking for a back up plan in the event of getting shut out !!

So here is the prototype
It has the old 510 connection the new mod will have a stainless adjustable 510 connection .
Still no magnets I ordered larger magnets for this mod .
All the contacts will be gold plated as you can see there not at this point .
The on off switch is built into the push button much like a grands . I made the through hole much larger hang ups should not be a problem .
Turn the push button to 9 o clock the mod wont fire .
I sleeved the push button with nylon I was worried if I didn't humidity could cause problems for some people in humid climates .

My thoughts as well..You could mold Micarta around a solid copper wire and add a switch and place for a battery and 510 connection and it would still be a mechanical.

One Reo is not a statistically significant test, so i'm quite amenable to one going to Canada (assuming it'll get past customs) and one south. I'll give it a good 0.2Ω, like the metal ones.

Oh, and Honkey: I'm running a .22 ohm in my grand right now, and have had it in there for 5 weeks - take about 5-6 second hits off it with no issue. I don't think I'll go any lower without doing a fuse mod though.

I'm running .2 ohm as I speak and have ran .2 ohm coils on and off since I've had my grand and have never experienced any problems. Do you have the gold contacts for sub ohm?
