I just read an article from the world conference of lung cancer. It was basically saying that vaping still can give you emphysema , copd, lung cancer and all other types of cancer. Now, before I say anything else I know people are going to say it's the media bs man you can't believe it but no one actually knows if this is true or not since vaping is relatively new to all of us. It's not scary enough to get me to stop vaping though but I am just curious if vaping really does that stuff to you. I mean personally I feel better when I vape. So with that being said, does anyone have any evidence that vaping doesn't cause cancer and emphysema ? Or does anyone have anyone of those things and still vape?

Bet they had a lot of "may" in that article you read and didn't give you much in the way of real information.

PG and VG are mostly neutral as to what it will do to the body, even through the lungs. Of course, the lungs do absorb a good portion of the PG and VG and much is coughed back out. The stuff doesn't tend to stick around like the tar from smoking does.

Nicotine "could" help certain, already present, cancers to keep growing, but it's not going to start anything new the way tobacco would.

Flavors might be a wild card here. But then, I think it's up to the individual to decide anyway.

After 37 years of smoking, the last 6 using little cigars the same way as cigarettes, I decided over 4 years ago to vape, Not looking back! Vape On!

If vaping is so new that nobody really knows that it won't cause harm, how is it so easily determined that it will cause harm? What will the "experts" determine was the cause when a 40 year smoker stops with vaping for a few years and then has a heart attack or is diagnosed with cancer?

I would venture to say that the majority of vapers were previous cigarette or cigar smokers. And I mean addicted to them for years and years.
The haters of ecigs are willing to blame them for everything. But realistically any damaged that shows up in a person who has smoked for years and years even after they begin vaping is more likely to have been caused by years of smoking cigarettes.
I am not saying ecigs are totally safe because we just don't know. What we do know for a fact is that burning tobacco leaves does maim and kill. So with that said, ecigs gave me my life back. I can breath better, smell better, taste food again and not be chained to those filthy cancer sticks. To me that is a win, win. If it were not for ecigs, I would still be smoking and just waiting to die. Guess which one i choose.

Ecigs are fairly new so while studies are being conducted nothing is totally defined as of yet. The physicians in the UK do say that vaping is 95% better than smoking. Read anything you can find on the subject with an open mind and decide for yourself. And take stock in how you feel.

I've been vaping for a number of years and feel better. As a smoker I used to get out of breath climbing the stairs not anymore. I used to have a smokers cough not anymore. Wish vaping would of been around a lot sooner. I tried everything to quit and ecigs are the only thing that worked. They've gotta be better than smoking.

Every person, or entity, has a stake in the vaping industry. For me, it is/was to get away from all of the known and dangerous chemicals of cigarettes. For many, the stake has to do with money. With these things in mind we express our opinions and feelings, even sub-consciously.

There is a lot of self-expression available in this world, even this post. It is accepted, promoted even, and a norm. Go back 50 years and I would be expressing to a much, much smaller audience. Maybe, my friends on my street, at work, and or on the one phone attached to the wall in the kitchen. I remember my parents had one of these in the hallway of the house. It is called a "gossip bench". They are actually collectables to some from a bygone era. A phone, phone book, maybe a doodle pad.

It is all kind of based on our "stake" and we are biased to that. Learning what a source's motivation is helps to understand why. Not a lot of neutral communication anymore.

Anyway, back to my gossip bench where my laptop phone is.

Think on this for a bit. What would happen to all their funding and juicy salaries if everyone switched to e-cigarettes from smoking? Yep, you guessed it. It's in their best interest to spread FUD when it comes to e-cigarettes so they continue to receive those nice government grants.

I have mild COPD, not only from smoking, but also from a long career of working in hostile environments, with often poor air quality. As a retiree, I get my lungs tested every year, with x rays as well as breathing tests. I can honestly say that in nearly 6 years of vaping, and not smoking, my mild COPD hasn't worstened at all.
