Amazing how many of us nurses are smokers. Now quite a few of us where I work have switched to vaping. Considering how Godawful cold it's been here it's actually better to go out for a few quick puffs and go back in without the hassle of lighting up, sucking down a quick half a smoke, butting it and poking the other half back in the pack to save for the next quick break. Only advice...don't use a metal drip tip when it's 40 below or worse!

I didn't even think of that advantage! I work the 11-7 shift so I spend half of my quickie breaks just putting on enough jackets and coats to brave the cold and then take them all off again. LOL

Mad Vapes is like 10 minutes from my place. I am going to check them out when my MVP v2 arrives. I am just worried about having any nicotine in my system at all really. The smoking cessation program at work is going to eventually test us based on nicotine levels. If they find nicotine in out system we will miss out on the health insurance discount. I left a vm with our hr wondering when we had to get nicotine free by, but I haven't gotten a response yet. I was even considering 0mg ejuice, but thought I wouldn't have a chance of quitting if I didn't get some kind of throat hit. :/

I read a thread on here a couple of days ago about nic testing for insurance, not sure which forum it was on, but probably this one. Seems there are different methods of testing and depending on which one they use, there are ways to test nic free. I wish I could remember where it was, I'll give it a look and post a link if I find it.

Hi. I haven't had a cig in over 6 months. I was not able to go cold turkey straight to vaping. I smoked at least 2 packs a day. The worst for me was first thing after waking up, I wanted a cig, at that time vaping did not cut it, for that particular urge. It was pretty much the same after dinner. All is good now. It took me about a week to kill the cig habit.

I went from 1 pack a day to 24mg cartomizers High dose. I was getting head aches so I stopped vapping. Then somebody pointed out to me that I was using to high of a dose and trying to smoke like I would a normal cigarette (10-11 drags in a short time) witch is why I was getting head aches. So now I quit smoking again and now the plan is to drop to 6mg dose and chain vape. (I love fogging) comes from my mary-jane days. So I think your on the right track. fighting the craving for smoking is hard the tobacco company's put a big fight in them. but you can have the upper hand with vapping and the control to adjust your dosage.

Worcester Mad Vapes is run by very cool vapers. Good people :thumb:

We have 1-2 vape meets per month. Mad Vapes will keep you posted on meets if you're not on FB.

The MVP2 is a groovy lil beast BTW. PM if you need advice - I'm in Clinton.

Thanks! That is helpful. I don't think work is checking nicotine levels any time soon. They are reimbursing for the patch. :/ My work did look into paying for e-cigs but the idea got shut down.

My order status is "out for delivery" on all my items. I'm getting really excited. I went to down to my local vape store today and bought an 10 ml 18 mg bottle of RY4 based on all your guys suggestions that my 6mg bottles I have coming might be too low. Thanks again! Everyone has been super helpful and supportive.

I would recommend you do get some 0 mg, as well as some 24mg; mix to your own taste; take control of it your self.

Yep; cigarette goes out; the vape doesn't; so its easy to end up chain vaping.

Good to have 2 tanks; 1 with the high nic, and one with the low nic for habitual vaping.
