Hi all,

I noted a bit of a burning taste, despite topping off often, so checked the cart on my 901.... the flat part of the portion of the cart that goes into the atomizer is melted a bit! Also, I checked the old cart I was using yesterday - same story, the cart is melted a bit along the flat area that inserts into the atomizer.

Please advise.

Sun,

You are correct - the battery IS staying on for like a second after most draws. And, I have been vaping a lot, though with low strength juice. I suppose this could just be an over use issue.

Jherek--I would get replacements if the batteries are still under warranty and you should be able to vape all day without that happening and it is going to burn your atomizer out as well. At least you now know what the deal is. Most, including me never notice it till we look in the mirror while vaping.

Hmmm.... I just tried all three batteries I have - (one black and two whites) and they all seem to stay lit for an extra 1/2 to 1 second or so after a draw. I got them from Ruyan Direct, so it may be tough to exchange them, if they are defective.

I just tried my first mod - cutting away a bit of the staight area from the cart. So far, so good.

Jherek--a MOD is far superior in terms of functionality for sure---I just saw last night that Eastmall.net released the 901 manual batteries---good price as well.

There's a couple of things to consider. Is your atomizer clean? Are you using too much VG (if you mix)? Are you continuing to vape until there's almost no vapor at all (practically dry)? And when you top off how many drops?

You may want to shorten your sessions so you don't vape until the cart is dry and add a few drops to make sure everything is nice and moist. The extra liquid you add will be there when you go to add new drops but it will help keep your atimizer from running too hot.

But defintely clean the atomizer.

is the bridge of your atomizer off center............sometimes you can carefully move it closer to the center to make sure it is not touching the cart plastic

It looks to be pretty well-centered.

LOL - I think this is just an overuse issue.... I've been taking so many long vapes, now that I think about it, that the bottom of the atomizer gets more than noticably warm on the outside. In any case, though, trimming away a few mills of the plastic along the flat area, seems like a good idea to prevent trouble.
